I hadn't realised that costco started delivering for free...

or for that matter was open to anyone other than trades people... ...

or indeed was free to join... ... ...

or has that changed?

I admit I have seen this before - but high street its currently £179 in dixons/currys et al, richersounds is £139, and amazon is £119.... so I say compare like with like...

this player is posted very frequently at 99quid - its a great price but is almost standard
as for costco - i didn't realise for it to be a valid deal it had to deliver or have shops everywhere etc etc

go find store and travel there

its open to people outside trade

years membership and the player would cost about £3 more than your deal

costco have a great returns policy - best of any store/online - play returns..lol, good luck

I didnt intend to whine, and I know it has been £99 before, but it isnt, anywhere, at the moment, which is why it's been reposted....

The costco deal is excellent in my opinion (£83 if i remember) but it isnt by any means available to everyone, and especially if you arent already a member or have to travel, the saving is diminished - which is why I posted this (depsite being more expensive).

I'm extremely happy for people to post better deals - then I can cancel my order and save some money!!! but the comparison should definitely include similar postage, and should generally be available to everyone on similar terms. I'm an NHS employee, but I don't post my apple store discount etc because it doesnt apply to most people....

I stand corrected - the website says membership for buisiness or trade, products for business use or resale... guess its out of date

my nearest costco is a 120mile round trip... so i guess im ordering off play!

and ive never had any problems with play - they sent me the wrong pc case once - said i could keep it and sent me the right one, lost a copy of lord of the rings - sent me another one no questions asked, sent me two of the same hdd once - said i could keep both. I know it sounds bad when listed like that, but i've just looked and i've ordered over 700 items from them since 2002 and only three mess-ups....

I have seen lots of reports about making this player region free, but its something to do with a controller with magic button (whats this?) does anyone know if you can make it region free without this?

Gees guys calm down....

I don't think you can compare this price to costco, 95% of us don't have membership or are in a twon with cosco (my nearest is 60 miles away)...

This is HOT

Yes it's been this before and will be this price again but this is by far the best blu-ray player in the sub £150 market so every time it's available for under £100 people should be made aware, especially with dare I say it Xmas looming ever closer...

If your after a blu-ay then buy it before they put the price up again is my advice

Only the DVD side can be made multi region with any Macro capable 'One for all' remote

St.Ives Cornwall to Bristol = Play.com a realistic deal & costco can suck my big toe!

No doubt amazon will be quick to price match (as they have done previously) so might be worth waiting a few hours to buy from there (much better service)

We joined Costco and used to make a monthly 100 mile round trips with a roofbox on the car to stock up on the bulk buys.

Then they opened a store in Croydon

back to £119 now

Don't Costco add VAT on at the till......and does the price quoted include VAT?

This offer is voted HOT from me, as Iive out in the wilds of West Wales and nearest Costco is 150miles away.

No its not! use the voucher code that takes £20 off.

Bought 1 of these just over a week ago. Very impressed except for the connectivity to the PC or laptop. I managed to connect to my laptop by changing the Windows Media Player settings so I can play music and pics but haven't tried video streaming yet.
Very good price, I paid quite a bit more :-(

Great deal and they actually have stock to ship to UK residents. That's rare.

£100 is a great price and it's not been that price often.

My 370 had an update this morning (4th or 5th now) so Sony are on the ball.

Has been a great machine for all format playing and the Internet video (including iPlayer) is great.

Sorry, didn't read the thread carefully, thought it's a straight £99 as previously

Costco isn't open to everyone. It's for trades people only + certain professionals + government/council workers. You need to show ID plus proof of trade/profession/employment to be eligible for membership, and it costs £30 per year.

It's well worth it though, although not amazingly great you can save quite a few pounds on household goods, bread, cakes, meat, drinks, etc. Some very cheap designer clothes there too sometimes, saw an Armani Jeans jacket for about £35 last week which normally retails at around £150, but then every size was Small so I guess they just pick up out-of-season unwanted stock at bulk prices (i.e. sizes noone wants) once in a while.

Looks like an awesome bit of kit... If I hadn't managed to get my xbox 360 to stream 1080p h264 I'd be seriously thinking about buying this...

How?

Just ordered...
FYI.. the "i have a voucher code" button is on the right hand side of the "Pay and Confirm" page

Easier for me; over the "Sony BDP-S370 Blu ray player £82.24 @ Costco instore"
(£17.75 more expensive - but i figure: travel time/cost, costco membership)

..anyhoo; heat added -thanks OP

Many thanks for this deal!

Its HOT HOT HOT! Simply you cannot find it anywhere cheaper at this price (Costco is not an option for me).
Just ordered one from Play for £99. Excellent deal!

Got this today connected to the internet updated the software no probs

Played Avatar Blu Ray

It sure lives up to it's reputation and is a superb piece of kit when played thru my Onkyo surround sound.

Does this play mkvs?

ordered yesterday, delivered today (for free!)
awesome

Costco deal is only good if your a memeber and live near a stire, they dont have many. Oh and doesn't it cost about 20 quid to join

This deal no longer requires the use of a voucher code.

The status of the item has also changed to 'In stock' rather than a couple of days.

EDIT: Must of been the end of the promotion, now expired.
Edited by: "C-K" 23rd Sep 2010

Went to order but now on at £119.99 and the code is not not valid.

Agreed, voucher code no longer works, shame.
