I have finally reached 100 posts :-D Better late than never

its the kdl32s3000 for £499!!!

thats an end of line price, so most stores will have 2 or less, be quick! (shame its not the D3000 that's a good set but pricier)

Oops I only just noticed. That will teach me for not reading the model numbers properly

Rep added portchy for much better observational skills after a long week at work

Note that the deal is INSTORE ONLY. And it IS the D3000. That link is for the S3000, the superior D3000 can indeed be bought in the shop for £499.98

Actually, he's right, it's not for sale at £499 instore.

I've just got the last unused one in my local for £450!

:w00t:

Can someone give me the item code as the one on the add is incorrect. I called PC world and they stated they do not dell the D3000 only the S3000. I am a total loss here.....

Can someone confirm they purchased the D3000 as I believe the advert is just incorrect as the D3000 has never been £599....

I definitely purchased the D3000U for £449. I got it from Reading PC World. It was the last "pristine" one in stock though they still had the display one.

I'll try to dig the item code out for you, but will not be back home til tomorrow evening ...

Hey! Thanks to the guy who posted this and the responders. Yep the deal is true, although I didn't get a new boxed one I had the display model from Guildford for £404.95. It is totally as new with all stickers on etc. What an amazing TV, really pleased as it was the exact model I was after. And I was going to order from Play last night for £629! So glad I didn't!!!

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

OK next question, what's the best non-tilting, non-swivelling wall bracket to use for this? I gatehr it's VESA 200x200

Did you compare it with the Panasonic TX32LXD85, and if so what swayed you towards the Sony?

Apparently the Panasonics suffer from white around the edges due to hue bleed. I could have had the Pana cheap as I do lots of work with them. The Sony is a terrific set, very imprerssed all round. 1080p is not really much use on a 32" er. The sony oozes quality and has so many picture adjustments, + controls my Sony DAVIS10 through the HDMI.

My stock code at PC World was 0000673564

I also think the Panasonic chrome trim, which looks so nice in the photos, looks a bit cheap and tacky in real life, and that the set would look better without it.
Having agoniised about whether I made the right choice in going for the sony, I'm now sure that I have. Though there's not much in it, both are great sets, just down to personal preference. And I've always been a Panasonic man in the past, not one of these Sony groupies!
