Don’t know much about the TV.
But the surround system isnt great.
It does have component input (I like component, but HDMI is easier)
It doesn’t have HDMI connections, optical input (for your 360, ps3 etc), coaxial input, progressive scan on the DVD (thought some places say it does).

So to sum up..it does an average job of playing back DVDs. You wont be using the HDMI port on your TV (which doesnt bother me but isnt as tidy), and you cant use the speakers for other things unless you want to use the cheap analogue inputs.

You could buy a better package by getting the Samsung 32 for £350, and then spending £165 on a better surround system. (same outlay)

I've made an enquiry about this, it does have HDMI output

Interesting... I havent seen 1 link with that info. Even the sony site says 0 for HDMI output on the DVD system
