i though sony made good tvs?

Sometimes they make good TV's but like a lot of companies these days they create products for specific markets, i.e. low pice often means low quality. Also worth noting that Sony outsources a lot of what they claim to make.

Still good price though!!

Personally, the problem I have with Sony is that they used to make very good TVs. The Bravia name used to mean "top built quality and picture quality". Unfortunately, although they still make some excellent TVs at the top of their range, they have decided to use the Sony and the Bravia name to shift what is really limited quality sometimes third party built TVs. The only way to figure out if it is a quality TV or just another cheapo (not that there's anything wrong with cheapo per se) is to carefully check if the model number has a S, T, U, V, W, X, etc. (P now?) in it and even then the meaning of each letter keeps changing so you have to make sure you don't get taken by letter muddling between generations.

There's nothing wrong with Sony's entry level range, just make sure you realise what it is and don't base your purchase on the old Sony's brand reputation.

So IMO, this is a decent price for a 37" flat screen. But there is a world of difference between this and say a Sony X series. But then again, I am not willing to pay over £2K for what might be top of the current technology but will be outdated by the spring and bettered by models half the price by June.

Dont see many reviews for this tv, IMO a better buy and cheaper at £512.99 with code is the Samsung-37-LE37R87BDX-XEU ]http//ww…tml

Which code is that? :santa:

If you go into any store like currys or comet & look at Sony TV's side by side with the likes of Samsung, Phillips, Panasonic etc they look ****, colours are washed out & not detailed enough, for this reason I would never buy a Sony TV even if it was cheap.
