I'd imagine so, but can only speculate as there's a big banner on their LED TV page. I saw this today in Sainsbury's Banbury.

Just read some Amazon reviews of the Sony NSZ-GS7 Internet Player. Ouch! Sounds like Sony messed up big time on this one.

Says Google TV Box worth £299.99 on the large red/white information barker but £199.99 on the blue one? Thoughts??

ouch...bad reviews on Sony website:

''Date:May 26, 2013
Pros: well designed remote and easy to set up and sync with TV and Entertainment Center
Cons: continuously loads, freezes up, almost never works with any video
This product is horrendous. I strongly advise individuals to avoid this product. I have high-speed internet connectivity in my house with dual-band high quality wifi. Despite this this unit never works. I have an Apple TV and numerous other devices running and streaming in my house that work just fine, yet this unit never works. It just loads and loads, and loads and then never plays. When it does play it is often without sound. It claims the internet signal is week, but considering every other device in my house and even an apple TV sitting right next to it work just fine seems like nonsense to me. Definitely returning this unit. Don't waste your time with purchasing one.''

If people are voting cold I'd love to see where this is cheaper!

maybe not cheaper but it was the same price delivered earlier this week from rgb, hispek and prc direct

some reported they got john lewis to price match so got a 5 year warranty

still a hot deal for a basic entry level tv of this size

was going out to get this but reading reviews on amazon doesn't wow you, my biggest worry is 2 hdmi ports, even my 720p samsung has 3 and poor viewings angles... but I suppose you can't judge until you see it

Mine is the first review on amazon, I've had this for about 6 weeks now. £400 is a fair price for it, particularly with the free box which you can sell on bringing it down even more. Feel free to give my review a helpful vote

Just got this from croydon sainsburys!

Also available at Cromwell Road Store. Kensington

Poor viewing angles? Says 178° on a few different sites, which is very, very good

They had the bigger model for the same price with the deal at Sony Acton closing down sale yesterday.

I saw it in Kenton Lane Sainsburys last night.

considering it is only £95 to buy new, then the price they inflate is largely irrelevant

Well I went out today to the local superstores and all TV's around this range seem to be 2 hdmi and 1 usb, so not sure what you mean there.

A PC has way more features than a smart TV what are you talking about? I would not say it's a poor substitute, I would say that you should have a smart TV if you didn't have a PC connected.

stop looking at finlux, bush, cello etc and look at sammys, pannys, lgs etc and looking around currys, tesco etc

decent tvs have at least 3 hdmi

as for pc functionality on a tv; fine if you dont mind the extra electricity bill and paying extra for IR remotes and lack of ease of use

I guess you've never seen a proper smart tv

Can this even hang on a wall?

I went to my local store (Cheadle in Manchester) which is co-located with a John Lewis, asked them to price match, dragged their heels at first but the guy went to look at Sainos as he thought it seemed too much, came back and said yeah we'll honour it and deliver it for free when I get the keys to my new house plus 5 year guarantee. Sounds great! So what did you tell them? Did you just show them the website? Plus the advert is not on sainsburys website anymore so how did it work?
I am surprised they gave it to you as John lewis gives 5 year guarantee so they could argue that they sell it more expensive because of that and thus it cannot be compared.

Just sent John Lewis a pricematch request. Let's see what happens!

It's still up, here: sainsburys.co.uk/sol…tml
The 'TV clearance' banner scrolls and it's the second of three. Or you can hover over it and press 'next' in the top right corner.

If a mod can change the link on the 'Get Deal' button to the one above it might save a bit of confusion

Yeah but when u click on it, it only shows you about 5 tvs that are in store and it is not included. so its probably sold out...

Yeah, the Bravia was never on there to begin with mate. Probably because it's even more store specific than their Celcus branded TVs.

I showed them the pictures on the first page of this thread (armed with those and the fact I went into Sainos 2 mins before and checked they had them on the shelf). The guy in JL went to Sainos to confirm. Job done.

As for the 5 year guarantee, I think thats a selling point of JL that they offer for all TV over and above. I bought my iPad from them and got 2 years opposed to the standard 1.

Tesco and currys were included, as was Richer Sounds... lol

Decent TV's have yeah, this isn't considered 'decent' this is just above entry level.

I haven't seen the features of a proper smart TV, but if it involved wifi, well pc has that, displaying pics, pc does that, using apps, pc does that, internet browser, pc does that, need I go on... however if the TV I buy has this then I do see it as an advantage don't get me wrong, I just personally most likely wouldn't use the features.

The Google TV box is worth less than half that.

£94.99 delivered free here with a third party on Amazon.
