Well it looks like my 40v4000 judging by the pictures.

it is a decent cash price for the set, i know there were better offers previously for a little more , maybe there are some vouchers which would bring this down even further?

anyway a good tv for a decent price as long a it is at least the 40v4ooo

maybe using pc worlds price match, john lewis price match with 5 years warranty to get a better deal with this now coming down again?

I think its the 40L4000, thats what they were offering 2 weeks ago

The supermarket models are normally the lower spec ones for a low price. The higher the letter the better the model on Sony screens. I prefer to check the reviews and models then have a look around somewhere like John Lewis who offer 5 year guarantees.

At least JL know what they are doing and the majority of staff know what they are talking about AND they have decent inputs to allow you to make up your mind between screens.

Yes, It's the 40L4000 going by that image, Not much difference between the "L" and "V" model, Both are virtually the same, Use the same LCD screen and have similar specs

The "V" model features 3 HDMI's The "L" features 2

Slightly different exterior, The "L" has slightly more boarder around the LCD.

To be honest other than the extra HDMI port the "V" model doesn't offer much more than the "L" model.

The "V" model has some very good reviews and is said to be one of the best in it's class, Look here for example: ]http//ww…ews

I can't find any reviews for the "L" model but quality wise they should be very similar

they can do better deals than this! I'd wait (if I were in the market for a TV), going to get a lot worse for retailers in the next month.

Its definitely not the "V" - its the "L". At least its the L model in my local Sainsburys so it could be that different branches have different stock.

Isn't the L 720P and the V 1080P?
