Sony have fantastic TVs and this tv with the free soundbar saves you over £600. I have a Samsung 40 inch TV 4K and got a free soundbar for £699 so this is a good deal. Has top reviews and their experts love it.

I know it's not, but that's in the details in specification and it didn't pop up when the URL was put in, this has just come on their Christmas deals.

For some reason anyway the deal is getting cold voted which is ridiculous considering the soundbar is worth £350 and the tv alone is worth £800+ and you get both for £749. Wow! Then you get people putting deals up and getting 4K heat for a deal that isn't even there.

Says £350 on the website. You're correct, I clicked the wireless one by mistake.

PANASONIC CX700 is so much better!!!

Returned this tv due its complicated android platform and no 3D function (I actually watch alot in 3D so very important)
The build is very plasticity compared to panasonics solid built tvs which isint a rebaged tv and lastly its uses firefox which is alot more easier to navigate!

Why did you buy it if you knew it had no 3D??

I was looking at the Panasonic but motion suffers so no good for sports.
Anyone having problems with the soundbar?

Oh and motion is great..... CX700 is native 100 frames per second then uses backlight control to create 800Hz while Sony’s number is larger but the performance is not better. It's a 50 frame per second panel and the rest is backlight control.

If you get the chance... Watch the same clip on both tv's... You'll see the difference
Don't forget most importantly there is 10% off all TVS in Currys atm

I think that's only on TVs over £1000
Have to disagree. Down to opinions, but for me the Sony is a better panel than the Panasonic CX700 particularly when watching fast moving sport.
Hot deal

You are wrong. The Sony X80 as well as the Samsung and LG TVs at this price point are all 50Hz screens.
The Sony X83 and up all have 100Hz screens.
When I was looking at these sets I found that the Sony and Panasonic functioned much the same but the Sony had better upscaling
Just in case it matters to anyone:

I was trying to decide between the 55" x85 or smaller x83, wanted the smaller one but found out the x83 will not be getting the HDR update. Neither has local dimming so it mightnt matter that much though
Been after a 4k TV for a while now. Can anyone please tell me which one is better out of this TV or this LG? currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

The Sony has better reviews, my first 4k TV was an LG and I took it back as the wifi was shocking on it, couldn't connect to my wifi downstairs. I've got a Samsung one now as the deal was unbeatable at the time but I love Sony TVs, especially Bravia ones and my Samsung came with a wireless soundbar which makes a big different and this comes with a wired on so its worth the price.

Thanks Danjw91. It's weird the LG seems to have amazing reviews yet there aren't many for this Sony and the majority of them are quite poor.

From the website the Sony has 11 with almost 5 star as the LG has 9 with 4 star. Everyone has their own MAKE of TV which they prefer, I like Sony and Samsung as I think they make the better products and screens, especially Sony with their Bravia technology.
There is also a £50 discount with a spend of £750 (instore) with O2 Priority.
LG falls down for me due to most models only having 2 x HDMi ports. Most of us have more than 2 items to attach these days!
Excuse my ignorance, I'm not very technically minded, but what are the advantages of getting the wireless soundbar?
Hot. I did return mine though. Too many bugs
Cracking price mate!!
Indeed It's a top spec for that price I really don't k ow why it's cold
O2 priority moments have a £50 off £750 spend

My Bravia had a firmware update this morning that (finally) activated YouView. I've not tested hdd recording but that was due to be added in the same firmware release I believe. It's the 2nd firmware update I've had in 4 weeks so at least they are attempting to work the issues..
What is difference between x8305c and x8309c ?
Is this the 3rd time this deal has appeared in the past month?
x8305C = Black and 800hz
x8307C = Silver and 900hz

I have the silver version cracking TV IMO

problem is that these tvs have a lot of issues that are still not sorted. issues that have existed for more than 6 months. there is a lot of opinion appearing that the hardware inside the tv, is not upto the job it was meant for. so no amount of software updates will sort them.

I'm hoping this is not the case, as I love the picture quality on my 4k tv. but the constant sound drop out is really starting to be a problem. I have been hoping that it would have been sorted by now, but it doesn't look like its coming anytime soon. I have had the tv for around 3 months now, but seriously considering (reluctantly) to return it

That's fair enough. I have to say I don't have this actual model, mine is a 43W805. I haven't had any major issues yet, just an occasional lock up now and then. I was just trying to make the point that updates are happening (which I found to be a refreshing change as I also have a Samsung TV!). If there are hardware faults too though then I guess that's more serious.. and a shame as I've been impressed with mine so far.

do you have an external 5.1 surround system hooked up to the tv? or do you just have the tv outputting sound via the speakers. you ever have the tv go completely unresponsive when I standby mode, to the point where you press the power button on the remote, then 5 mins later it decides to switch on.

The 43W805 isn't an android TV though, it is Sony's Android implementation on this TV that is causing all the issues.

Mine is in the bedroom so just running on internal speakers. No, I've not had that yet. I've had it where it won't change channel on the internal tuner which needed unplugging to clear. Maybe as mine isn't my main set I've just not come across the problems yet
