Go for the 8004 from Amazon. £80 more, but worth it, according to reviews?

What's the main difference, been trying to compare the two and read reviews, but don't really know what the extra £80 gets me? And is there anything better for the price from other manufacturers?
How much better is this compared to WE753?
I'm only interested about quality picture. I just play full hd movies from my laptop. + some amazon movies+tv shows that I think are only HD

I think the 8004 has Android OS, whereas the 7073 has Sony's own OS. 8004 might also have better connectivity options & ports & interface.

The 8004 has a triluminous display which is far superior to this xe70.
Plus it has android os and can be controlled with Alexa.

do you know whats the difference between 8004 and 8005?
Have Sony fixed the sound on their thin smart TVs yet? Last one I got sounded so tinny I returned it and got a Samsung.
What's the cheapest 49" out there with genuine 10bit HDR?

I ONLY FOUND 1, AND ITS …I ONLY FOUND 1, AND ITS CURVEDhttps://www.richersounds.com/tv-projectors/tv-projectors-label/all-tvs.html?panel_bit_depth_filter=2119&tv_screen_size_breaks=1365

I've seen posts on here talking about £800+ but seen no examples go hot.
Most are 8+2, I wouldn't touch a curved with a barge pole

Richer sounds has a good tool on the left to narrow down what your looking for, then search elsewhere for a cheaper price if you don't need 6 years warranty

More complex than just the panel bit depth. Anyway I'm still learning about it as with everything, the more I learn the more there is to learn, same with anything, the best description of what really matters is from member EndlessWaves on this thread >

hotukdeals.com/dea…851

"So basically, you need to look at the effectiveness of the local dimming system at boosting contrast, the brightess of the backlight to take advantage of that contrast and the range of colours the TV can reproduce." Source: as above (EndlessWaves)

I can expand on that a bit by giving you a link to > rtings.com/tv/…ity

and to this Sony article in PDF format >

The Sony KD-49XE9005 is available for £874 from Hughes at the moment. John Lewis will also price match that for you. Has a 10-bit panel and HDR Premium certification, as well as full-array local dimming. Many sites named it their best buy for 2017 if you can't afford an OLED.

If you check a little further down the product page, there's a voucher for £75 off the marked price (jan75). John Lewis had no problem matching the voucher price when I submitted it to them, and several others reported the same in the deal posted on here (should have linked that too).
