Amazon £639 and argos with code was £589, both deals now gone.

Interestingly enough I recently read an article in a paper and it said nearly 65% of Black Friday week deals had been cheaper or were cheaper shortly after or before Black Friday!!

There's a substantial number of these in stock in the branch local to me. I also know some TVs are due a further price drop and others will have a soundbar bundled. If they want to shift this (8396 models are exclusive to Currys - and almost identical to the 800/8077 model) this price is a tad high.

Curry’s current offer of cashback when tv is bought with tv/internet package is also due to expire soon. Perhaps next offer will be more enticing.

Still waiting out on the 9005. That's the one with the specs I want. I reckon it will be full whack though 😥

Same here. Crossing all fingers and toes for something on Friday.

I would go for the xe8596 model

Don't forget the new price match terms!

I'm hoping Friday is going to be something special else otherwise I'll be waiting for the January sales in the hope of getting a great deal on my new TV. Seems like the best deals have already been and gone.

Looks to be a good deal.

You know those Polaroid TVs that ASDA customers used to fight over on Black Friday? Well they were always cheaper throughout the year, it's amazing what people will believe if you tell them it's a bargain.

Can't price match a product only sold by Currys :? It is an XE80 - but it isn't.

Currys have another xe8 for £639

Whenever I hear Black Friday mentioned the first image that enters my head is those people fighting over the Polaroid telly...

That code doesn't work, went into Currys and they gave me a £39.99 HDMI cable with the tv opting into their care package which can be removed from direct debit later supposedly. But to be honest we're not very impressed at the tv's brightness albeit picture is pretty good on even SD Freeview channels, also it took like 45 minutes to update to latest software even though I'm on fibre. On the plus side it is running now smooth and the sound is actually quite good for what it is. Most my content is 720p which it upscales nicely. All in all quite happy with this purchase:)

Is this tv HDR 10bit?

Is this TV any good then? 10bit, Dolby Vision, I see its HDR, how is it with the Xbox One X for gaming and also can you use the code when buying in store ? Thanks
