Hot! Nice find OP, been keeping an eye on this for the last 6-9 months. Do curry's do 0%apr spread?
Sold out, just rang up Curry's and they will not be getting any more in stock it's now a discontinued model
I think there will be deals to be had for this TV in the next couple of months as the new ranges will be incoming soon.

Hot though, good price.
Great TV. Picture quality is immense. Just the o/s which is a bit ropey

Great TV... I’ve got the 55” and it’s spectacular!

Oh somewhere like Currys have sold out though, you may struggle to get your hands on it.
Ive just collected the 65" for £1459 and i cant wait to set it up later. Great tv.
I have been tempted with the 55” but have heard very poor reviews about the Android performance.
I bought the 65 inch refurb from Sony Outlet for £1200 and its amazing. Looks like its brand new as well, customer return I'm guessing.
We are now seeing this sell out. The 9005 and 9305 is being replaced by a new XF model which is just a little better than the 9005 but inferior to the 9305.
If this is your budget top end, get one found.
Sold out.

I'm not so sure about that to be honest. It looks like stock is running dry. A lot of places that had them a few weeks ago have now sold out.

Incidentally, the new XF models are available now. John Lewis have them in stock.

You could try John Lewis for a price match - BUT, for those hoping for bargains (as the almost the same XF models come in) stock may be getting low!

Update! Perhaps not it looks like JL may have already sold out

I find it quite acceptable - YMMV!
Why did they change the stand..
Why is the current 9305 better ??? It's edge it...

New range after the world cup
Bought this beast at Christmas, took a while to get used to as we jumped from 32" to 43" but it is absolutely stunning.

Adore this TV.
Just reserved one cheers op!
Just picked up the 55” in JL at £949.05 after giving it a test and was happy with the Android speed!

I have this, it's great

Never thought about how blacks should be black before I got this

Phone up Richer sounds who might undercut Curry's by a tenner !
Great tv in terms of build, picture quality and features. Saying that i have a couple of con's to point out:

- If you enable YouView the ability to pause and record live tv is disabled (WTF is this all about Sony, get it sorted!)
- You need a usb drive to record/pause tv. That's fair enough but from the 4 different branded usb devices i tried only 1 was compatible.
- A couple of the tv channel apps (ie: 4oD, Channel5, etc) seem to freeze up during ads resulting it closing and reopening the app again).
The 55 inch should be this price...

Never has been and, as it’s being replaced, never will be!

I paid this price in the Sales and have not regretted it!

How did you get it for that price? It’s currently showing as £1099 on JL website.

Was probably an open box return as can't be a price match

Great price for 55”! How?

I was lucky enough to get the 55” XE93 for £1249, great quality TV, only downside is letterbox films, a little light can be seen in the black bars as its edge lit but I can live with that and have started using bias lighting which helps a lot. I have no problem with android speed either.
It was a brand new and boxed TV. I managed to get it for £902.50 in the end as I purchased £950 vouchers with 5% off making it 902.50. It’s brand new boxed. I asked them to price match Powerdirect at £999 and the guy said well, I can do it for the £999 and add the 5% off public code they are showing (I didn’t even know there was one and didn’t argue).
You'd have to be sitting pretty close to a 49 inch 4K display to see those extra pixels. Like 5 or 6 foot away! Worth bearing in mind

That's some great luck. John Lewis refused to price match Power Direct for me (because of its "limited availability" tag) and that 5% off code states that it excludes TVs. Guess it depends on the rep you get and how much attention they're paying that day.
You got yourself a nice deal there as the 5% off code isn't for TVs
I'm currently sitting on a John Lewis £999 price match for the 55 inch (got this last week when powerdirect had it in stock) - Will it go any cheaper than £999? Is it worth £999?
New stock being delivered now.

I’m trying to get John Lewis to price match it to £999 - been unsuccessful few times because the price goes back up by the time they respond
Bought the 55" the other day as nowhere had the 49" in stock. Amazing TV but the OS is utter, utter trash. I've never used something that is so slow when new.

It certainly won't go much lower, if at all. Stock is drying up now and it's a desirable TV. As for whether it's worth it, it's one of the best TVs of 2017 and the cheapest you can get that'll give you a fantastic HDR experience, with relatively high peak brightness (~900 nits) and full-array local dimming (in fact it's one of the few TVs on the market offering that at any price point - even Samsung's flagships are edge lit). You won't do better for similar money until the replacement XF series start coming down in price towards the end of the year.

Just checked now I am home and can clearly see it states excludes TV’s on Powerdirects website, didn’t even see that code there the other day, nice of the chap to point it out and add it to the price match ! I guess if they didn’t read the small print and just saw it quickly on the TV page he just went with it!

It's definitely a TV where the picture quality rather than the OS is the winner. Even the new XF range has the same Android system. At this price range though there is just no competition.
Make sure you don’t use wireless on the TV, always use a wired connection for the internet. Also worth tidying it up a bit following some of
