been this price direct sony centre for past week or so with 5 year sony warranty, or grade A refurb for £1049 with 12month warranty
This is about the best price at the moment. Currently £1499 in Curry's and £1399 in John Lewis. It's been cheaper black Friday week but that was then. Voted hot, stunning TV

Voted hot. OLED tech isn't for me and my requirements, but I can still acknowledge a great TV at a great price.

John Lewis do price match

So do Currys.. I'm waiting for the price to drop a little more then get it because during Black Friday, the lowest it got to was £1087 in Costco.
Now down to £1299 in Currys PC World, as of this morning.
Hugely disappointed with my AG8! Took it back to Currys and in all fairness they were very good to swap it for an LG 55C9 and I haven't looked back. It is just amazing, far better in my opinion. If you can get it for the same money or less I'd be recommending you go the LG way.

I prefer LG but their oleds have a high rate of screen burn

That's what puts me off.. Although I've been reviewing them both for a long time, side by side, C9 is often favoured as the all rounder between the two. However, the LG screens are bright and Sony offers better dark ratio (from what I've researched) - hence making it more suitable for me personally as we have a darker room and don't want a super bright TV.

Comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.

What was so disappointing about it? I've found it does everything superbly, zero complaints.

Picture quality was very poor. Artefacts all over it, like blocky pictures - on more than one source image. Was disappointed as I had researched lots and thought this was the one. Could have been just a one off, but enough to put me off. Bought the LG and absolutely delighted with it. The sound on the Sony was amazing though, better than the LG

Must've been a dud unit or something as I've not experienced anything like that at all.

Definitely a one off. Got this and an LG OLED. Both set up and configured properly. Sony is a better picture to me and the motion processing is better without looking artificial if you configure it correctly. However....Android pales badly compared LG’s OS
