Have corrected the price
Excellent tv, I paid £599 for a refurbished set back in March. At the minute Sony are selling refurbs for £649 however this deal could work out cheaper.
Does anyone know if this is available at a similar price from somewhere that accepts PayPal? Want to use my interest free credit and pay over 4 instalments!
how's the android thing work on this tv?have you install kodi on it?
No HDR?
I paid £925 on amazon lightning deal on black Friday week! (was £1200)

Cracking TV, definitely worth this price. I love this TV, Very big.

There is some screen bleeding on darks, I only noticed when on loading screens on PS4 games, otherwise its been spot on with everything.
Apparently it's has HDR recently added via an update.
Had this TV from last year. When I first got it, it was plagued with issues..frustrating control, lip sync issues, rebooting on a daily basis, turning itself on in the middle of the night. since the last update everything more or less works although their are still lip sync issues on YouTube. The picture is great and the sound is not to shabby either, although I do use a soundbar rather than using the inbuilt volume.

Have you tried HDR content on youtube since latest update?
sorry if its a silly question . Am looking for a 4K Tv 55" or 60" , Sony or LG (as these are best these days IMO) . But can wait till end of June. Any chance of prices coming down in the coming Bank holidays by then ?
Best TV at fabulous price

Nah the best is the Sony XD9305... Which I have on order and should be getting this week
Great TV, I paid more than £1000 for this last year, I got a free soundbar with it so it was still a great deal.

The soundbar has caused me some problems but apart from that i'm very happy with the TV, best thing about it is you can install Kodi from the playstore and it works great once you figure out what you are doing..
Agreed and hear added. I have the 65" and out of the box the OS was quite shabby. Firmware updates have resolved a lot of the issues and I absolutely love it.

can any owner of this TV confirm if it is HDR?

thank you.
Its been updated so its supports HDR via HDMI 2.0a so works with a 4K Bluray player and it also supports HDR via streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon instant video.

bargain price, was £1500 then £1100.

Android is much better, remember to turn off and unplug your tv for a few mins after the updates or the updates dont really take effect.

HDR via streaming apps and 4 bluray.

Youtube doesnt support HDR at the moment.
Built in Netflix app supports HDR content with premium account. Comes up with hdr Icon instead of HD etc. Cracking picture. Some light bleed also in v dark scenes but I'm happy with it.

You think an LCD based set is the best TV available?

X) X) X)

If it was OLED I might be able to take you seriously .....
After seeing the LG 860v drop to £750 I KNEW this was going to follow suit! I waited and waited...
Its a great price but I think i'm going to go for an 1080p OLED once they get more within my price range. I'm going to be sat 10ft away so 4k will be wasted on me as the max size I can get is 55"
I bought this last year with the free sound bar for £999 from JL. First the sound bar was absolute rubbish and the set I had certainly wasn't the best around. In the end sent it back. I don't think the HDR update is true HDR as the sets this year.

It's the best LCD out there and more than matches OLED for Blacks....oh and doesn't suffer from the bleed issues that current OLEDs have......... and a lower cost than OLED.

Happy to educate you further on the ins and outs of TV technology if required
i have this TV and the pic quality is great, sound ok - i even dumped the soundbar it came with as i was not bothered and it got in the way of the aesthetics of the floating TV , however i too am plagued by various bugs, like the firmware on a weekly basis, loss of wifi (even though says connected), fiddly touch remote etc etc

its good, but i still wish i went for another samsung (currys 899 inc soundbar - october time 2015)

Contact them via ebay and tell them there price vs web site price and they should change it. I only say this because it did it before when there was a lower price on the web site and a higher price on ebay page so contacted them and they changed it.

Edit:

Just noticed they did reduce the price since this morning but its £850 so tell them about the clearly visable voucher on the web site

How much did you get the XD9305 for mate?
You can actually get a couple of OLEDs for good prices now. For example my brother in law has the LG 910v (might be the 930v) and its absolutely amazing to my eyes. So much so i'm tempted to grab one myself.

Anyway its all subjective. Whats poor to one man maybe the best thing ever to the next. Enjoy the the new set anyway
God I'm so tempted, keep telling myself I'll wait for this years tv's but it's such a good price, got my perents the 8005c for Christmas and it's been fantastic for them. Decisions decisions haha

I tried price matching with JL but they would only match it at £849 and not £799 because it's using a discount code. I suppose if England score loads (doubt it though) the TV will be cheaper again
This comes with a 5 year guarantee with Currys as well

Thanks. How good is a currys 5 year guarantee compared with JL though?
