Vouchers or not, the 5 year warranty from Richer Sounds alone (never mind the fact that they will beat the price} is all I would need to go there.

Not me - with £300 in vouchers it has to be Amazon for me.

By all means check with Richer Sounds, but I bought this tv from Amazon for a similar price a few weeks back and neither Richer Sounds nor John Lewis would price match at the time. Mind you, prices on tvs are tumbling all the time, so you never know. Lovely picture with this tv - android system not as snappy as I'd like, but upscaling of 1080 works very well and great colours. Slight loss of detail in blackest parts of picture, no matter how hard I tweak, but otherwise, very happy with picture. Sound also not at all bad, though I invariably pass a digital signal to an external system.
On demand services not well catered for unless you pay for the privilege - iplayer excepted which is excellent, of course. Android apps limited in choice compared to what you can put on a phone or tablet, but mirroring and casting works well. Built in Sony media players for video/sound/pictures have their limitations, but I rely on brilliant kodi for a lot of media playback, which is slicker and copes much better with most formats. The TV works as my hifi front end too and, passed through my external DAC, the sound quality is as good as any other hifi front end I've got.

All in all a very good tv and excellent price.

Had a Camelcamelcamel price track on this for a while, but now unsure whether to go for this at £629, the LG 55UH850V at 770 (Curry's, with 5 year warranty, plus potential 10% TopCashback bringing it down to £710) or the LG 55UH770V at 611 (Argos, with 1 year warranty).

The LGs are native 200Hz, whereas this Sony is listed as native 50Hz, and the LG's also have FreeSat (have no TV aerial), whereas this has a DVB-S2 input but no FreeSat EPG (which I'd hope to get around by re-ordering the channels so all FTA satellite channels were first). This Sony model also seems to have many complaints about sluggish operation of Android with its dual core processor, whereas the quad core LGs on WebOS don't appear to be so slow. On the flipside, I've templated this already on a wall for cable chasing and love the design.

Anyone compared these sets side by side?

I'm also torn between this and the LG set

Avoid, unless you like having a DPS board failure every 6 months..... then waiting 2-3 weeks for the part to come back in stock.
Sony isn't the manufacturer it used to be

Never had heard of board failure for Sony tvs, they actually have good on board electronics and there power boards use high quality capacitors, and in the recent which reliability survey they were at the top.

Sony have the most realistic picture, compared to Samsung more natural and not oversaturated.

Bought this on Wednesday for £750. Just had the difference refunded got this to replace a 4k LG that died this weekend.

Not a gamer myself but partner has used PS4 few times. I asked him if it seemed laggy and he said not. Wouldn't take that as set in stone as serious gamers may see differently but may give you some idea.

Mine arrived today. Tried it with the Xbox One & the PS4 pro and I couldn't detect any lag. My TV is mainly used for Gaming and would drive me nuts if there was.
Also one thing worth mentioning is blacks are definitely black on this TV! definitely an improvement on my 2016 4K LG TV.

Hi. I got this tv too this week. The tv seems to slant backwards a bit on the stand. Is meant to do this or have I set it up incorrectly? thanks

Mine stands upright so slant not evident. You may have something wrong.

Richer Sounds cant price match as the Amazon price does not include warranty.
By adding the 4 year Warranty to the Amazon price, it comes to £719 and it includes Accidental Damage which the RS warranty doesnt have.

Did anyone try to price match this with Richersounds or JohnLewis?

Which one is correct?!?

"The 139 cm (55") XD80 series has a different stand design. Please refer to product images through the View Slideshow button."

I have the tele - had it for a year now. Don't rate it. Samsung is better. Slow reactions to when you press a button etc.

Has Youview built in, so has all the Catch up services free

The picture is amazing, it really is. But the operating system is rubbish, check reviews first, no firmware updates seem to better it.

Do not buy any Sony tvs with android built in, so many bugs

I have this exact tv and its awesome friends always comment on the picture. heat given
