I have read that the interface, Android, is quite slow? Can you comment on this?

I own this tv also, the actual remote to tv functionality can be a little slow and unresponsive. Other than that, it's about the picture. It has its own colour processor which helps provided a coloured image that is just beautiful, got the 50" version in currys with a sound bar for a hundred less. May actually be worth popping your head in the door

I have the same tv but in 60" kodi installed and its the best tv i have ever owned HDR on the xbox one is mesmerising highly recommend the tv
I would prefer to buy it from Richer Sounds or John Lewis if they were to price match But good deal otherwise
Thanks OP According to Which magazine this scores only a 54% and is not a good buy.

Cant comment on this one but i have the w905 from a few years a go and it has been amazing. If this has carried on the same tradition it will be a great set

I read the 'Which' review and thankfully it was published after I bought the TV otherwise it may have coloured my decision. IMHO 'Which' gave too much weight to price as inferior TVs in Sonys range score higher. The picture is superb (needs tweeking from the factory presets but there is plenty of advice online) but I would agree that the sound is poor and a soundbar is needed.
Possibly the best TV of the last 'gen'

Excited for baby ZD9s this year!

Why would you want a TV that messed with the colour? Should turn all the picture processing rubbish off!

i would say android is good but it does have a problem when going to watch amazon prime, youtube or netflix to not work straight away so you have to reboot tv and it will work every time but it is pretty much daily you have to mess around when going to watch anything from the smart tv part.
Android on my Sony is soooooooo slow
Yep, got a 2015 Sony TV and I'd really think twice about buying another one due to the flaky OS and shocking performance. (and this is coming from a huge Android fan!)
The fact that you have to sacrifice YouView if you want to record TV is a joke, and even then you can't pause TV.

Add nasty posterisation and light bleed to the list and I'm regretting not sending it back when I had the chance. Still might do to be honest.

Only Dual Core on 9305, the Sony was on my short list, but a few things put me off including the power pack, already have 2 of them behind TV, do not need any more plus the input lag not as good as the Samsung KS range.A lot of complaints about the Sony remote too.Still not a bad deal if you can look past a few things and the slow OS..I have gone for the KS8000 myself (same price but with free sound bar and sub woofer).I did email Sony support a few times with queries about this model and not once did i get a straight answer from them.To each of my queries they replied saying either they always used the best components and "as a manufacturer we cannot disclose this information." Bizarre but it helped me make up my mind so i guess i should thank them

What do you think of the KS8000? This is the tv I'm most swayed to, along with this 9305. But I've had a samsung for nearly 10yrs and is kinda like, better the devil you know.

I have only ordered it after it came back into stock earlier.Read reviews, forum groups and saw it on display in Currys. Will be used for a lot of gaming,Xbox one S / PS4 and nothing comes close to Samsung this year with the low input lag of the KS series. They have even moved the Game mode to main settings menu so easier to activate. From what i saw in Currys build quality is certainly a step up from the KS7000.The stand is a much better design than the KS7000 but i will most likely attach using the brackets on my TV stand.I think i read on one of the forums there might be a small issue with wrong or missing bolts being supplied..need to double check that. The KS8000 did look very sleek and stylish while i thought the 9305 looked like a TV from 5 years ago..just my opinion Both models KS8000 and 9305 can be had for same price £1100 so just down to the features you think you would use most and what model you think delivers the best picture.I am coming from a Samsung UE55JU7000.The Bonus of the free Soundbar and subwoofer with the KS8000 at the moment with JL was most welcome too.I figured now was a good time to buy as you take a gamble with discontinued models. If you wait too long they may go out of stock / not come back into stock .I notice the Sony model is no longer on the JL website. And also the JL 28 day price promise means if it gets any cheaper over Easter sales i will be able to claim back the difference.

Great price for this. So hear from me!
However I will say the ks8000 is the better tv - but is more expensive.
This TV has 3d whereas the ks8000 doesn't. Might be an important consideration...

Possibly but would be a shame for people to discard their 3D Blurays and still lots of 3D films coming out
Well anyway after reading online the 3D on this set is supposed to be terrible... will probably continue to wait for the OLED55E6V to come down in price.

Both are the same price at the moment thanks to price matching at JL.

Yea I read that before I got it and I don't really see a problem with it. Sometimes is stutters a tiny bit... but it's fine. I don't go in to the endroid interface much anyway, mainly use it for SKy TV and gaming. But when I do (for netflix or Amazon TV or something) it literally takes seconds, no problem at all
