Looking to buy this or the equivalent Panasonic but can't help hesitate in the hope black Friday is kind! Knowing my luck they'll be out of stock by then...

This is purely a price match to Argos with their 10% off.
It will stay this price until Argos discount code ends.
Other amazon TVs and dropped to match the Argos prices too.

amazon was doing this for £599 with 5yr warranty a few months ago

1 year warranty is what's putting me of

What was the thing I saw the other day about Amazon doing 5 years on all TVs?

Dunno, you tell us, you're the one talking about it.

Was thinking of getting the m.johnlewis.com/son…698. Any advice on the better tv would be appreciated.

Does anybody know if this and the 49" model have 10-bit screens? Apparently this is a good thing to have on TVs for gaming but it's hard to see which TVs have it & which don't tbh

Will john lewis price match argos with 10%off?

Richer Sounds have this at £699 but they price match online, offer free 6 yr warranty and free delivery

And say they'll refund the difference if it's cheaper on black Friday!

XE70 and XE80 are 8bit + FRC - actual 10bit from XE85 and up. IMHO I doubt you'll see the difference between actual and synthetic 10 bit in this price range.

XE80 gains Android TV (with built in Chromecast support) and Triluminous display over XE70 series. Whether it's better it's up to what you want / need.

To add - compare XE70 & XE80:

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want the TV for gaming, XE70 has a much better input lag @4K than XE80.
