Amazon deal of the day, slightly different model number (appears to be an Amazon exclusive one) but £20 cheaper than Co-Op Electrical deal worked out after their BF60 code 🏻

Just to let you all know, Tescos are selling Samsung 65" curved TVs for only £50 Just because there's a fault with the volume button.
But at that price, you can't turn it down!

Not the best of TV’s and I don’t think the X70 has android.
But for a 55” inch 4K tv it’s a good price.
Heat added.

Been looking at sonys as I think the picture was the best when viewed them in the shop. Is this the one to go for though or a lesser model hence why so cheap? Understand it's not oled etc

It is not on Android, if you can live with that give it a try.

By all means it’s not a bad tv at all.
The only real time you will see differences with higher up models is with HDR gaming.
I have a 2015 X83 in one of my rooms and this should’ve equal if not better quality than that.
I’ve ordered the more expensive x90 now, but purely for gaming.
For the price it’s allot of tele especially for a Bravia.

i bought a refurb 43X8309cbu from sony for less than 350 ladt year, sold it same price few months back, noe regret it, such a good tv, the native motion rate is like 1000. Now find it hard to get any at that price.

That depends on what you're feeding it. This is a good normal TV and should look almost as good as the more expensive ones for most stuff. It's HDR ability is minimal though, so it won't look anywhere near as good with HDR content.

What would be a good set for HDR gaming in the Bravia range in a similar price range?

There are no properly capable HDR tv's below about £1000, in any range. They simply don't posses the hardware unfortunately. You have to go up to the xe90 to find a reasonable HDR tv. If you simply want a solid tv for gaming without HDR, then the lower end models should be great.

AVOID!! Reviews are awful for this model and as someone whos owned a Sony TV before (last year) I simply can't recommend it. So much trouble for a hefty price, better off with LG or Samsung for the money.

Is it really that bad?

Thank you. I can't afford a £1000+ TV. My wife's eyesight is getting worse, so we need to upgrade our old 32 inch.
Regarding smart functions, I couldn't care less about them. I have a Chromecast and that does all I need.

Indeed, they would be fantastic choices if your budget allowed.

Still a truly fantastic tv in its own right, and would be a good choice for gaming, however, it's peak brightness is nowhere near that of the higher xe9005 and therefore the 'wow' factor of HDR gaming won't be quite the same.

Thanks, I've ordered the 8577 from John Lewis. Had a "free" UBP-X800 player with it too. Had to call a limit on it as tech is moving too quick and I've spent too much on TVs before for them to be obseletehalf price or worthless months later. They'll be a "wow" factor on my credit card too this month!,

In a complete random change, I cancelled this and got John Lewis to price match the KD55XE9005 (to 1079) and I've bought that.
