Went hot in October at 899 so quite a reduction. Tempted myself but wary about Currys after sale support. Any thoughts or suggestions on better TV deals welcomed!

no idea on TV prices but if you think it is a good deal then worth a try on John Lewis' price match, I believe they offer extended warranty?

This tv is only sold at Currys anyway
If only I could turn back time.....its a good deal non the less but you could get this for about £650 from TPS a couple of weeks ago via cashback that they were willing to take off at point of sale. I know this cuz I was going to get the 55" for the lounge and the 65" for the play room

Who is tps ?
this was a tv i was tracking for months, until the sony 55inch 900e started dropping in price, so gonna wait for it to hit a grand then i,mm in for it.back to our subject tv offer though and yes this tv was 999 back then and at this price point,id be all over this even without the soundbar, imho this tv is a steal.i,mm sure there are more informed people on here who can advise you on other options, but all i can see to compare this tv to at this price point is the samsung mu 7000 but thats 829,i wouldn,t touch any lg under series 850v . sony however is regarded as having some of the best picture processing engines in the business.myself personally i wouldnt touch oled yet because of the screen burn issues are ironed out on the low end oled series hense why i prefer the 900e for the moment.also 5 year guarantee on top at least give some peace of mind if it fails within warranty.have some heat op good spot.

Oh no. I meant that I've got a TV after John Lewis price matched them for £645. 55 inch just seems too big to me.
Help appreciated please. I currently have a Sony Bravia KD55XD 8005 55-Inch Android 4K HDR Ultra HD Smart LED TV with Triluminos Display and Google Cast-2016 model. Looking for a 65” preferably Sony again. Any suggestions please. X D 8005,keeps making a smiley!!

The XE 8596 Seems to be a much better TV Spec wise ( full 10bit 120Hz panel vs 8bit+FRC on a 60hz panel ) the one posted here is also known as XE8096 apparently just the comparison form display specification in the link Comparison

Sorry, it's XE 8577 but it just seems to be the colour difference here. And thanks for the link, a lot of in-depth specs
This it's better than samsung 55mu6670?

I haven't even opened it! It's just sitting in my room. Just deciding on where to put it and which furniture to move.
I'm just worried that I won't use it that much + plus I had an email from Xbox to say I've only played the console for 5 hours in the past year
I still haven't bought this yet myself but damn close as it's come down another £30 today to 749.99. If there's good cashback deal on quidco or topcashback today I'm going to do something stupid!
Hahahaha hmmmm choices...choices
Very tempted as a great deal for an android/Alexa compatible one!
