No 5 year warranty with the bundle though

Seems a good deal even if it's just the tv

Same price at richer sounds and John Lewis. But instead of this useful sound bar + 5 year warranty + blu ray player which is apparently worth exactly the same. What a coincidence the retailers are charging the same price

Or find one that offers cashback. Bought this exact 55" model from TPS and opted for the £300 cashback instead of free blu-ray player. Ended up only paying £626 for it, plus £55 for delivery.

Not the extreme chipset. This is a clear out of what will be outdated technology. Typical Phony ripping people off.

Is that the deal £895. Includes wall bracket and 7 year warranty. Then you get choice of £250 cash back or Sony blu ray player?

This is a cracking TV , I've just been to Currys an had a demo from the Sony girl, it's £999 instore.

Yeah looks like it's gone up slightly in price in the form of reduced cashback, it offered £300 cashback yesterday when I ordered it

First time I've used them! I was sceptical at first until I checked google & trustpilot reviews - they seem fine. They even emailed to say they will use a bespoke delivery service and not deliver using 3rd party couriers Just waiting on a delivery date atm

I haven't used them before but good reviews and on AV forums. Says you have to call to pay via PayPal. I'll do that tomorrow just incase they do me over. PayPal were great when I got scammed buying a PS4

Thanks mate.
They only have around 40 review so I'm a bit skeptical. Can you also point towards the cash back deal if you don't mind?

is this true hdr10?

That depends on what you mean.

Can it fully understand the HDR10 format? Yes, everything that claims HDR can as far as I'm aware.

Can it fully reproduce the HDR10 format? No, no TV on the market is even close to being able to do that.

In terms of it's HDR display ability it's got a wide gamut and a great native contrast but no local dimming system. It's comparable to other TVs at this price, but it may be worth spending the extra few hundred on the XE90 if HDR is an important factor.

This is Sony's current mid-range model, not something outdated.

Same deal at Sevenoaks for TV and 4K player, JL don’t have any stock according to the web and they didn’t offer the free player to me today when I was looking at the TV! The Player is delivered from Sony as Curry’s have run out of stock at present! Seen the tv today and it does look the business I know you can get better but it’s always the same with Tech! All it means is more damn money lol

You won't be able to say that by summer 2018. Hense the terminology 'what will be'

sorry, how did you apply the cashback prior to checkout?

I was not given any option to specify if I wanted the cashback or soundbar - it just went straight to checkout.

I send a follow up email but was not sure if I am just being blind!

Cheers, I'm gonna wait and buy the new model next black Friday.

Oh, wait. But that will also be outdated by summer 2019 won't it?

I guess I'll just wait a bit longer, until they stop coming up with new models every year.

What's the input lag on this set?
I can't seem to find a review that has tested it.

Looks a great deal, Just about to buy when I saw the ‘no 5 year warranty with this bundle’ comment. Does say 5 year guarantee in the product specs though. Am I missing something (I don’t normally buy from Currys)

Very low IIRC, thirty something at 60hz, sixteenish at 120hz.
