JL should price match this to get far better warranty.

Extremely doubtful.....JL were fully on to the (very similar but at launch price) XF (2018) models last Saturday and, like most places, will have ~zero XEs left!

This is a very good price for the 55” model and, given the very short supply, I personally would grab it if I was in the market.

Shame they don't remove your old set

I bought a 55" LG OLED just shy of 5 years ago, and have never seen the image bettered by any non-OLED.

That is an amazing price for this tv!

If I had not just bought a xe93, I would have been all over this. Would have saved me about 500quid.

Great price!! £809.99 for 55” XE90 - showing as in stock for me unless out of stock is shown after filling out all the details?
Under specifications it says 5 year limited warranty. What does that mean?

I was going to say the same but my XE93 is awesome!
This or the Samsung MU7000 55"? Both around the this price I think. Or is it the MU8000 that's around this price?

I wonder the same.

Definitely the Sony. I do like the MU7000 but the Sony will give you more bang for you buck, especially at this price!

Yet, but the XE93 is amazing
Fantastic price. I'm put off by the warranty though. However, if someone manages to clear up this '5 Year limited' business I might bite.
With the welcomeback code makes the LG b7 £1439 tempting...

This is an absolute steal at this price. Excellent TV for anyone wanting an upgrade. The only draw back is the ‘limited warranty’. Needs clarification.
Yeah good price but warranty is worrying. I personally wouldn't buy
Very tempting, I have been waiting long time for this TV to drop price, but the warranty and lack of well known retailer, I may have to wait a bit more.
Don't know what the limited warranty is about but I bought this 2 months ago, from my understanding this came with 5 years warranty standard from Sony.

Think this explains the 5 year warranty questions?

Been waiting for the 49" but couldn't let this pass. Hopefully, they're true to their word regarding incoming stock.
Been waiting for a great deal on this TV so now finally ordered. Just hope it gets delivered ok. Great price, thanks. Heat!
Had to bite at this price, used a credit card just in case. It does say out of stock but seems to have gone through so will see what happens. I'll be surprised if they honour it tbh.

The Sony 9005 series is about as good as LED TVs can get, are comparable with OLED in many areas - and may exceed them in some areas like screen brightness and zero chance of “burn in”. As they have a “full array” backlight they also do very well in “black level”. OLEDs win in absolute black and off-axis viewing angles.

as far as 1 yr warranty , this means if correct like everything you buy you get 12 months with the retailer after that the warranty goes with the makers Sony in this case 5yrs based on the pdf above

look at the positves. u got to experience this a few weeks before us...however, your wallet didnt
Damn just bought yesterday for 1049 @ Hughes Mehhhh.

0% APR got me swayed...
Does this do 1080p 120hz for pc gaming?
So is this the same as the X900E
How do we see if this TV is brand new and in stock?

Is there a way to try and get John Lewis and Richer Sounds to price match the £810 price for this tv with the welcomeback code... if it is in stock and new or will they only price match the 899 price?
OOS
And it's gone. Hope someone on here got it and with that code as well. I'm still waiting for 65" and something a little bit better.
Gutted I missed out but I was waiting for the warranty situation to be a bit clearer. That PDF about the 5 year warranty was from 2015 so I wanted to phone them and see if that was still applicable.

Fingers crossed another deal like this comes along soon!

I'm put off by OLED burn-in issues so decided it was between this TV and the Samsung Q7F. However, the Sony appears to be the better TV.
Sony's have 5 year warranties.
Flip, that went quickly. Pity as I’m debating between this or the 65” version and this price would have definitely swayed me. Oh well there is always next time. Do you think these will drop much now with the newer model available?
