Hi guys

Now i know this Tv has been posted a few times over the past couple of weeks with various prices ranging from £699 via ebay at hughes direct with a 5 year warranty.
A couple of other retailers have deals that also catch the eye.
Richer Sounds £799 6 year warranty
TPS £795 with a 7 year warranty and a free wall bracket, free delivery.
I emailed Tps and asked them if they would price match hughes direct via the ebay offer, they said
they couldn't because " That discount is provided by eBay so the retailer still receives the full £799.
We can meet you half way at £749 with wall bracket and 7-year warranty"
So i have taken the bait and bought this tv from them today.
So effectively you can grab this set at £749 with a 7 year warranty if you email them.
I personally think that's a great deal, for a cracking LED TV.

I have the 49 inch of this for my gaming room. Wonderful TV.
Beast TV
There's only one slight problem with this tv, 1080p sources have high input lag (40ms or so) even with game mode.. Not much of an issue for most people as the xbox one s, x, ps4 Pro etc all output at 4k (24ms input lag) everything else is great 😁

I am a gamer and have a ps4 pro, so all good with me. I currently have a Sony KDL-50W656A from 2014, i love this tv, but 6 years down the line i think i need a upgrade, and i like LED Tvs. So it was a no brainer for me once i could get a deal that suits me.
How does it handle movies with fast scenes please?
This tv or the Panasonic TX-58GX800B? These seem very similar spec for the price point
Anyone compared this to an oled. I'm particularly interested in video processing, upscaling. I realise blacks can't compete. Any screenshots of it in action? I can't decide between 65inch version of this or 55 lg oled. Watch TV mainly in the evening. Thanks. Great price btw

This, stay well clear of that Panasonic. The specs aren't even near the same level lol
This TV looks great in the flesh. Wondering if the XG9505 is worth the extra 200
There are a few posts within this site guys, where the tv has been reviewed by lads on here that know a lot more than most, just dig around i am sure you will find the answers you are after. Here is one chat from a couple of days ago

It is worth spending the extra, it’s a much better cpu and more memory in the XG, Android is much snappier and you’ll also get Android 9 Pie in a few weeks, the XF won’t get many updates going forward.

side by side, you wouldn’t notice much difference, but down the road you’ll be pleased you spent the extra because of the greater lifespan.

If you watch in the evening, low light, it won't compare to an OLED. There's not enough dimming zones so there's a ton of blooming. I couldn't stand it.
Thanks for your help. I need to see them in the flesh again really to see if the blooming would bother me. I believe it would as instead of enjoying what I watch on TV, I'm forever critiquing them.

I have the XG and I notice no blooming. These TVs when you go and see them in curry’s, they always seem to be tucked away, not showing decent Demos like the Oleds and Qleds, they don’t get much attention or marketing. Maybe coz they are a hard sell for those people not in the know when they sit next to £500 normal LED TVs.
It's a great TV. Had mine since Monday. I paid £646.1ó for mine from Very. £799 less 20% voucher code + £6.99 delivery. Only 12 months warranty but if Currys are offering a 5 year warranty and TPS a 7 year warranty my guess their data shows most TVs of this stature will be trouble free. Main thing that goes on a TV is an led bulb will fail which I can repair.

What code did you use for 20% off?

It was one just for my account and not a generic one. It expired on the 31st December and seemed a good idea to use it.
