SONY BRAVIA KD55XG9505 (2019) LED HDR 4K ULTRA HD SMART ANDROID TV 55" + HT-X8500 BLUETOOTH ALL-IN-ONE SOUND BAR Take your viewing pleasure to a whole new level, with the top spec Sony Bravia KD-55XG9505.

X1 Ultimate for powerful picture processing
At the heart of this 55 inch Sony TV lies their flagship processor – X1 Ultimate. This processor intelligently enhances the brightness of hundreds of different picture elements, giving incredibly realistic and detailed images. X1 Ultimate is also the power behind upscaling FHD images to UHD 4K – bringing new life to your Blu-ray collection and non-4K TV shows.

Stunning contrast and detail from Full array LED backlighting with X-Tended Dynamic Range Pro
The Sony Bravia KD-55XG9505 uses a full-array LED backlight with ultra-dense structure for the most effective LED screen yet. This ultimate level of brightness control boosts contrast levels, giving deeper blacks, dazzling whites and truer colour between. The TRILUMINOS display with X-Tended Dynamic Range Pro offers true-to-life colour for a more natural and believable colour balance.

The smoothest images with X-Motion Clarity
Sony’s X-Motion Clarity makes use of the LED panel’s full array dimming technology to deliver smoother and brighter images. By controlling the backlighting with greater precision this Sony 55” TV offers enhanced realism, especially with fast-moving sports and action movies.

HDR support, including Dolby Vision
HDR maximises picture quality, bringing detail to the darkest areas of the picture as well as making the overall image look more life-like than ever. As well as HDR10 and HLG formats, this Sony is also compatible with Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision optimises the HDR format to give quite simply the sharpest, most accurate images possible. Very much an industry standard, Dolby Vision continually adjusts the picture for the most remarkable realism.
Sony HTX8500 (Black)
2.1ch Dolby Atmos Soundbar with built-in Subwoofer. Surround yourself with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound
Using Sony’s Vertical Surround Engine, the Sony HT-X8500 reproduces ‘vertical’ audio to give truly uplifting sound. Compatible with both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats, this Sony soundbar gives incredibly enveloping sound from a compact unit. Whatever your room’s size or shape, this Sony soundbar makes three-dimensional cinema sound a breeze.

Upscale to 7.1.2 for ‘wrap around’ sound
If you want to feel totally immersed by your favourite movie, try the impressive 7.1.2 feature. At the touch of a button, Sony’s advanced signal processing converts any audio signal into a pseudo 7.1.2 channel signal – totally surrounding you.

Built-in subwoofer
Featuring built-in, dual subwoofer units, the Sony HT-X8500 delivers a full-bodied sound that easily beats most TVs for bass power.

If you're after a Soundbar, nice deal. However with the XF taking a massive drop in price and the XG not really being a £500 better TV....
As for quality, well peak brightness blows OLED out of the water, so if you want those brightest brights in screen.

The ultimate cheap is one of the best for upscaling. Plus e arc for better sound. Slightly better future proofing on the xg. And the amazing new remote

Now, would that remote work on the XF? :/

I think it does apart from voice control. But not 100%

It does. But where you can purchase it from? I want one for my XF too. Sony don’t offer it on their website.

Do these soundbars really give a surround effect

Do these soundbars really give a surround effect

Fitted one these for mate, decent sound and virtual kinda works bass is OK, but slightly lacks when compared to have wireless Subwoofer. It's nice neat solution not everyone wants extra box, plus it's nice slim with excellent build quality
My mind is spinning. This or 5585R/90R or do I just go for the XF and save a few quid. I've got a soundbar, but oddly would prefer not to bother with one. Which is best for footie and sound. C9 is also in the running, but Currys cannot answer of burn in is covered on their 5 year warranty. I do not have SKY Q, just the older HD box.
Serious question this tv or an OLED?

I currently have a Sony Bravia KD60XF8305BU 60” Smart 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR. Soundbar is a HT-ZF9
