True, hence the reason I'm not buying it myself haha. Just thought I would post it in case it helps anyone else
I voted heat for price but didn't see it was "open box" :0/
Don't think I would be comfortable spending that type of money on a TV from anyone other than a reputable seller/high street seller with a warranty either.

Would depend on their return policy then. I’d want to open it and run slides and stuff to check for any burn in or IR before I kept it

Open box stuff is risky with OLED as shops usually power off devices overnight which means the compensation cycles can’t run to prevent issues

Not familiar with the seller myself but may be worth a punt if you value Sony over LG. Personally I’d rather pay the extra £200 for a C9 due to HDMI 2.1 support but some people really like Sony’s image processing / motion handling
Maximum discount is £60, so total price is £1729.99

If this helps anyone
Would rather pay a bit more and have 5 year guarantee or 6 year guarantee with richer sounds

Having bought a C9 because of HDMI 2.1 and G-Sync I do wish I'd gone Sony as the image processor is not fantastic and WebOS isn't as good as Android TV even though everyone else seems to think Android TV is hot garbage.

Apparently Android TV got a lot better after the Oreo (??) update. Also a lot of people spending this kind of money have devices like Apple TV so UI isn’t really an issue.

LG’s motion doesn’t bother me. I only notice judder on very select panning scenes (I own a C8 and came from a Panasonic Plasma that had top notch motion). Have you tried playing with the dejudder settings on your C9? People say that putting it on user/custom and choosing some of the lower values can clean up motion without introducing any soap opera effect
