Guys, when it comes to TV's I'm a bit lost but this looks a very good deal! Any feedback on this particular model?
Bight the 49 inch in warehouse deal last week for £330, came pretty much brand new, all packaging/screen protector stuff still on TV. Its an OK TV, doesn't touch the Samsung ks7000 I have but it is a huge amount cheaper. Menus and apps are basic as shit, design is OK. I was happy with what I paid however if your spending more I'd aim for a mu7000/8000 if you want decent hdr.
is this Android TV? Can't see any OS info anywhere even on Sony website.

Update: Actually not an Android TV. Found that info in the reviews.

Can always return anyway within 30 days
Just ordered for £644 with STUDENT15. Very similar model was 899 in John Lewis last week, glad I waited.
Bargain never seen it this cheap
Just got one, delivery Sunday slot 7-11AM - Won't tell the wife until I'm bringing this through the door and moving to the man cave I do wonder if reselling within the next week (flipping it so to speak) would get a good return? This exact model doesn't seem to show up many places.

Yeh buy try flip and if all fails with waifu then return back to amazon.
Cheers.
Just ordered is there anyway to get the price down with codes and vouchers. There ain't android on this TV and it's black colour, wanted silver but still good price
Returned my last thin Sony TV because the sound was so bad and no tinkering with EQ could help with the tinny sound. Also the smart features are so slow, heck it's even slow to turn on.
All new TVs generally have rubbish sound and need a sound bar or surround sound to do it justice.

Ditto snart stuff is a gimmick on tvs. Always better to use a 3rd party device.
Agreed with Googleboogle - far better to stick to best of breed 3rd party devices (ATV / Amazon Fire etc.) they development / release cycles are years ahead of TVs - just got this on value for size and for consoles to play

Did you buy this TV the Sony 65inch version

No the last one I bought was Sony KDL-32W705C but the reviews of this 65 inch version say it's as slow and some of the apps freeze.
Am I right in thinking this Tv is refurbished?

says in a box on the listing that brand new ones are available for £999

i have posted a Q&A on Amazon answers which will hopefully get an answer whether the latest firmware (June 2018) for the 7003 can safely be applied to this Amazon exclusive model. Apparently this solves the issues with the Netflix and YT apps. Sony themselves have been quick to answer other questions on Amazon but if it doesn't get answered I will post on their community board. Feel free to inbox me if you purchased today. I will keep you up to date with news.

I disagree. I have a Sony Bravia 50" Android TV and absolutely love it. Just want a bigger 65" inch one otherwise would not even consider replacing.

The last Sony Android TV I had was too slow. Like using an Android phone with 512MB RAM slow.

Maybe you just had a bad unit? Mine is Sony KDL-50W805C Smart 3D Android TV Motionflow XR 800 Hz and absolutely greaaat! We watch Netflix and Plex everyday and completely smooth. I will admit that the firmware that the unit came with was buggy but after the first update, never had an issue.

This was a much newer model, 4k, etc. 80xx series. The TV (image, motion) was fine but the UI was dreadful

Did anyone have any problems with the screen when it's on Analogue or when your switching between Input 1, Input 2 and Input 3 do you get a greenish cloudy screen on the black empty screen just when you switch the TV on. I know that most people didn't notice it but if you look carefully then it's just staring at you.

Ah, thats called clouding. Because these tvs are lit from the sides, this can happen when the pictures black. It does look pretty bad for a new tv, so i suggest amazon/sony contact for a replacement and/or get a refund and keep tv

What! Will amazon give me a full refund as well as me keeping the TV, not possible they would want me to return the TV. I have checked it's out of stock now and best they would offer is refund and a collection.

I spoke to amazon chat and told them the problem and they can offer me 10% if I decide to keep the TV, that's £65.90 what shall I do keep or return or call Sony and get them to fix the problem.

Do you guys have any problems with clouding.

If you decide on the 10% partial refund, you can still return any electrical item to Amazon within two years of purchase if there's an issue. I did this with a warehouse deal for a TV when the (I think) mobo failed after 22 months and wouldn't switch on.

Yepid take the refund and then see how it goes? As long as it doesn’t interfere with your viewing? But sony will repair at the end if all else fails
