New 2018 version of the popular xe9005 model.

This is for the 65 inch version currently the lowest price I have found. The alternatives for this mid range would be the qled q7 £2499 or the LG oled B7 £2299

Unless anyone else has any more opinions I could do with the advice.

Practically ruling oled out as I would have cbeebies screen burnt into it within a month 🙈

i want this tv but even the 49inch is out of my price range
I'm sure this would get richer sounds price match less £20 plus 6yr guarantee as the code is clearly displayed on the product page
nice! let it drop! more and more..
Nice!! I'd go with the oled personally, got the 55E7 and I was worried about screen burn with 2 kids and mostly Peppa pig etc... It looks amazing, had it since black Friday time last year and no screen burn, pictures amazing and Peppa pig has never looked better

There are other reasons too motion blur is supposed to be better on the Sony for watching sports etc. My only escape from the reality of my life isn't mine anymore. The Xbox only gets powered on cos my kid seems to have a fascination with power buttons but gaming would also be a consideration when I get to palm him off to nursery
I've got everything switched off on mine and motion blur isn't an issue I see (everyone's eyes are different thou). I was never a fan of the "soap opera effect" that seemed to affect TV's with a higher refresh rate. Gaming looks the dogs on oled, the last of us in 4K HDR on a PS4 Pro looks immense!

Nice how's the the sound on the E7? Have a price match for £1599 at JL. Also have the b7 at £1199 prefer the E7 visual appearance..

ooooo, been waiting for this! Tempting! Hoping these will drop a bit more because of the pig ugly stand which I'll never use.

For the difference of £400 I'd go with the B7 and get a decent sound setup. The picture on glass looks awesome but you won't notice it after a couple of weeks. Picture quality is the same as same panel/processor so your litterally paying the difference for the sound. I got mine for a bargain on the price match/cash back glitch around last year which is why I got the E instead of B but if I was buying at current prices of defo go B and sound bar
I’ve been looking for a TV for a while. Finally went for the Sony a1. I don’t regret it at all. Amazing picture. Good deal however but couldn’t justify this money for older tech. That’s just me.

Kool yeah I just really dislike the b7 crescent stand. I had the lg 850v which had the exact stand and it was flimsy and cheap. Ashame I can't get the c7 anymore that's why I fought I'll go for the e7

Yeah, Stand in the E7 is really sturdy tbf, might be worth a call to richer sounds thou as they used to range the C7 just couldn't advertise it because of something with Curry's. Wall mounting not an option? For the £400 difference you could get a wallmount and a sound bar lol

What's the older tech? They are both 2018 same processor etc. Is it worth dropping 10 inches in size to get an a1 for £200 more? Or even £700 more than LG?

Haha yeah I've already called richer sounds a few times hoping they would get the c7 in. I missed out on the Currys bargain a few week ago I said once the price went down below £1300 I would get one it happened when I was working saw the deal on here after I finished and all the stock nearby was sold out I can get in Amazon from seller but only 1 year warranty and it's £1379... I have soon to be 3 year old and need a sturdy stand and can't wall mount as flat with plasterboard walls..

Ahh that sucks 😔 you won't be disappointed with an E7 tbf and from John Lewis at least you get what people consider to be a decent warranty. I had a smart watch from them a few years ago, power button broke a month before 2yr warranty expired and they couldn't repair it within 28 days so just give me a full refund! Excellent service all the way and can't fault them tbf

Kool yeah the only thing slightly putting me off is I have to pay the full price at £2499 first. Then the price difference back after a week..

I'd be interested to know if you're successful. The code didn't apply for me.
This TV gets extremely good reviews from what I can see and is apparently head and shoulders the best in its price range for the money (of this years TVs that is).

Just a shame that even this price is ~£200 more than my limit. The model below this is a massive step down.

Yeah.... I think the cheapest I saw the 65 xe9005 was £1600 before stock dried up.

I'm willing to take a punt at OPs deal as I get another 8% through work if I buy vouchers.

However, as the WCT200 code is not working I'll wait. This is also a lot better than last years model.
I've got this tv and it's marvellous. No need for anyone to get a sound bar as the TV has great audio with plenty of power. If you want home cinema sound then get home cinema.
Picture is stunning et 4K. I've got a 4K bluray player and movies like saving private Ryan look unbelievably good. Gaming at 4K is equally brilliant on PC and ps4 pro with no perceptible gaming lag.
It's great to have a tv like this without having to worry about burnt in images of FIFA 18 and sky sports logos all across the screen.
If you watch to with static images and game then avoid anything oled. Overall this tv is way better and you have peace of mind. If you have money to burn then you won't want this tv or the b7, c7 or anything mid price. If you aren't rich then you should worry about the severe technological flaws in the oled system.
People on here with oled sit all night looking at black screens in awe. That's why they don't have burn in problems. For those in the real world, who Watch sky and game then oled is a bit of a turkey and too much of a risk

Looked at both. Oled was just so much better and the a1 is an excellent tv. I’m really pleased with it.
Having owned a couple of Sony TVs and experienced Android TV first hand I will never own another until they replace with something else. A shame because I like Sony designs.

Richer Sounds are doing it with the £200 off, just store collection in my area though.
Yes, ordered! £1647 after using my vouchers through work. Happy with that, thanks OP.

I can stop looking at TV threads now and stay away from the LG cult extolling the virtues of OLED

I was really worried about this too but have tried a ZD9 for a weekend and turning off things like youview fix most problems. Dissapointing that the OS is not as refined as others but I can live with it as the other advantages outweight this.
