This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

X1 Extreme 4K HDR processor: Powering the display is Sony's supremely mighty processor for an image of utterly outstanding accuracy and realism, with 40% more processing power than the original X1 processor.

X-Tended Dynamic Range PRO: This TV has six times the brightness range of a standard LED TV (based on comparison with Sony conventional LED TVs without local dimming). Such a breadth of brilliant whites and deep, rich blacks achieves staggeringly realistic visual detail.

4K X-Reality Pro: Upscales non-4K content to reveal remarkable extra detail. It analyses every single pixel and improves contrast, colour and sharpness for increased clarity no matter what you're watching.

X-Motion Clarity: Keeps fast action smooth and clear with exceptionally precise control to minimise blur. The picture stays true to life with no loss in brightness. Perfect for fast action movies and sports.

TRILUMINOS Display: Expands the colour range way beyond conventional LED displays for a more lustrous image. This richer colour palate gets closer to real-life to make your viewing extraordinary.

Voted hot, but I'd have thought this would be cheaper by now, it's an 18 month old model. An amazing TV though.
This or a Q80R?
The slightly better 2019 model is available from Centres Direct for the same price (Sony refurb)

I hope price will drop by another 100 pounds very soon as in Germany this TV cost 999 Euro.
Fingers crossed.

Saw at mediaworld (Italy) as well for 999euros. Was expecting at a lower price than this
PAINFULLY slow menus - I sent mine back because of it. Warning you now, maybe it's been fixed with an update by now but it hadn't a few months ago.
Code doesn't work.
Code worked fine for me. Been hoping this would be on offer on Black Friday

Edit: I ordered before lunchtime today.

Bought this in may for 1199. Really impressed with the TV. Don't find it slow at all but then I had a Sony before too! This is a great price
Just bought from curries - £1099 but 15% top cash back at the mo = £934.

5 year warranty + a google mini (v2) with 6 months Spotify for an extra £10. Weird extra but gladly take it.

Pros: Nice sharp, bright, colour rich picture, good motion performance, decent black levels viewed dead on and hassle free ability to install 3rd party apps via USB that are not on Google Play Store.

Cons: Android OS with freezes, occasional crashes, occasional pixelated broken onscreen menus, etc. Some blooming and clouding. Updates which solve some issues and introduce others. Some loss of contrast and colour by off centre viewing.

Personally speaking a £1000 plus TV shouldn't have these faults. Sony needs to invest in it's own OS.
