First post, this seems like a good deal to me but partly posting to gauge opinion!

Lowest price for this TV according to Camel Camel Camel - non-smart, non-UHD, just a straightforward HDTV.

2 HDMI ports, Freeview HD tuner and high praise for its picture quality. Also, it's a Sony for under £300!

Price is for Prime customers -

It seems with the game geeks on this site if it's not curved and 4K no one is interested,
But do tv signals even broadcast in the quality for 4K
I've got a regular hdtv Sony 32 and the picture is perfect, 6 year old now, and John Lewis has expired, tbh I prefer to be out and about and rarely sit down and watch tv for more than a few hours tv.
40-42" seems plenty big enough for me

Apologies, it is in fact 2 HDMI ports, edited accordingly.

Thanks OP, order placed :-)

why on earth you want to spend 284 for non smart non 4k tv in 2017 ???

I bought this TV from Tesco on xmas eve for £284.Cracking picture. It'll be used in my bedroom with a Roku 3,so no need for any smart features on the TV or 4K:)

I tried the tv out in the living room for a few hours to make sure everything was ok,the only thing i found was that the operating system was slow and changing channels was also on the slow side.

Because not everyone has access to 4k content? People who still have Sky HD for example and are not looking to upgrade to Sky Q (or can't for that matter) are better off with a HDTV. And believe it or not, not everyone can afford it.

Rofl yeah and I bet you got a £2 radio and cant understand why people love using a hand wired amp. My wife is exactly the same

I'm after a non smart, non 4K TV too. I have a BT box for my smart needs, price above what I can afford though, thanks OP.

Refurbished model £219 Buy now or best offer on EBay at moment.

Nah I got a dab radio, had it for at least 12 years, what use is 4k tv to the average joe. It's a genuine question, will it vastly improve the picture quality of a small hdtv or do I need a 50-60" telly. Do BBC/itv/freeview channels broadcast to a data quality level that a 4K tv would make a difference.. as I've said my Sony which has a great picture is hitting 6 years and sooner or later will die, is it worth upgrading now whilst some good offers on

Yeah part of me is with you. If I wasnt putting a gaming rig together I would have no use for 4k. As for sd and hd I still love my panny commercial panel and its still going strong

Cheers, I'm no longer a gamer so 4K is probably paying for something that I may not use,
Ideally I just want a good picture, freeview and a few apps to watch iPlayer etc

Perhaps because there are no cheap 4k sources and you can add smart (smart enough for most people) by getting a chromecast.

Now £299.00 but still interested for a bedroom TV to use with chromecast.
