For the ultimate in 3D entertainment, you don't need to look any further than the Bravia KDL-46HX823 Full HD 46" LED 3D TV with BDP-S480 3D Ready Blu-ray Player, so you can enjoy 3D entertainment whenever you want it. Watching TV in your home will never be the same again.

Give your viewing an edge

Great for watching both 2D and 3D, this television boasts an HD boost, which helps to improve lower definition images for excellent entertainment. You can enjoy high mega contrast and detailed black tones on this high definition Dynamic Edge LED screen.

As well as great viewing, you'll get 3D digital sound with a 5-channel audio effect thanks to S-Force 3D Front Surround. You'll also get great TV with the free digital HD TV from Freeview HD, and if that's not enough, you can also enjoy internet videos on your television. It's easy to stream content to your TV with DLNA, which streams media from other DLNA-compatible devices.

With the handsome and stylish Sony BDP-S480 3D Ready Blu-ray Player you'll be able to enjoy stunning, cutting-edge 3D HD action while connecting wirelessly and painlessly to the internet - and you can control this sleek, powerful multimedia home entertainment device with your iPhone or iPod using a simple touchscreen interface!

Fuss-free WiFi connection

Integrated WiFi means it's easy to connect to the internet from the KDL46HX823 TV and you can watch streamed videos in enhanced quality for the big screen thanks to X-Reality PRO. Skype lets you chat to friends and family from the comfort of your sofa. You'll also be able to browse the internet quickly and easily.

A brighter shade of Blu

Thanks to BRAVIA Internet video, you'll be able to use the 3D Sony BDP-S480 Blu-ray player to connect instantly to the web with no need to hook up your PC, and the simple addition of a USB WiFi dongle will hook this next-generation Blu-ray player wirelessly into your home network. Or use its DLNA capabilities - available via a scheduled firmware update - to let it talk to other DLNA-equipped devices in your home. Its Internet video enhancement upgrades the often poor quality of streaming video. You can experience big-screen playback of media from your PC or USB devices!

Enjoy fantastic 3D viewing with the Bravia KDL-46HX823 Full HD 46" LED 3D TV with BDP-S480 3D Ready Blu-ray Player, a combination that makes the most of the internet for superb entertainment.

Owned this tv since Dec, dont know how it's rated against other TV's but I love watching 3d films and games via ps3 have been awesome. Streaming and internet bits have been useful too. Haven't a bad word

Good spot. Added to title and credit to you in OP
Most places are doing the 55" version of this with the bluray player and films for £1150.
No Netflix and Netflix not coming to 2011 models. So is a dumb TV.
Sony being Sony if you want a new function buy a new 2012 model.
Interestingly I find the s480 plays more video formats than the TV esp over DLNA.
Have read some formats are restricted to USB only on some Sony models.

This is still a good price/deal.
but got to buy glasses as cant see any included?
compare.ebay.co.uk/lik…925?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&adtype=pla

£31.99 on eBay, although it doesn't seem they are the official ones
Took a look at this tv last weekend , it does look stunning with the gorilla glass , great picture on axis , 3D is said to be good ? A big step up over the EX and HX 723 models.
GPDawes

It doesn't have to have Netflix to be a smart TV, believe it or not.
Waits for the anti-3D trolls....
looks a good deal. Heat added
I dont wanna sound dumb but bow do u enable freeview/hd channels on tbis range i bought one recently have no clue how to do it.. And i also bought the speaker stand but no clue how to connect it it the tv.. Help please.. And yeah i think samsung's allshare is better at handling various formats.. This seems to play onlh avi files.
This may well seem a silly question, but when you flick through channels does the info bar still appear at the top of the picture or at the bottom as with most manufacturers? I ask because I bought a Sony TV a few years ago, and the info bar appearing at the top and blocking the view really got on my nerves - and is why I haven't seriously looked at Sony TVs since.......
I've just bough the HX923 800hz and it is amazing. You can even plug a hard drive in to the back of it (any as long as it's over 32GB) and use it to record programmes... single tuner though.

Looked at the 823 - these are a real steal. The design is superb (one sheet of gorilla glass) so no indents and nooks for dust to collect... The soundbar is good also for sound.

HEAT.
Was really thinking of getting this but i opted for the KDL-46NX723 - which is slightly underspecced than the Hx823 but I bought mine from John lewis which came with a 3d bluray player (with harry potter claim), a very nice sound bar(normally £200) and of course 5years guarantee (ALL FOR £800!) so i thought that was a better deal. could have gotten two 3d glasses and 4 extra blurays for an extra £50 but missed out. o well im not interested in 3d viewing anyways so not the end of the world!
Also... if you have an iphone or, I think Android phone you can download the Bravia app and control the TV through your mobile. This is particularly handy when using the web browser and entering text (rather than the remote).
This is a good deal and I bought mine a couple of weeks ago from John Lewis. The 5 year Warranty did it for me at £799 I didn't mind so much the BR package from Curry's. If you try John Lewis for this model they have 0 stock.
I've mounted this on the wall and the picture quality is awesome. It's linked to my pc and I can play whatever media I wish without the BR. I haven't tried the 3D side of things as I am looking for a pair of 3D glasses at a reasonable price. They are going for around £50-£60 from various shops. Ebay ?????. The glasses you'll need are the SONY TDG-BR250 3D ACTIVE SHUTTER GLASSES.
The 3D technology at this price range is good enough however I am sure this is still progressing and by the time my next TV upgrade is due the high end 3D tech should be much better and more accessible.
Have some heat...
Outstanding tv, crystal clear picture, easy functions, and great price. as for no netflix thats no loss thats a plus in my view netflix is awful at best! Great post
Sony Centres are also matching Curry's deal, but with a 5 year warranty...read it on today's Metro, while waiting for my train in Birmingham. Looks like they've run out online (http://www.sony.co.uk/bundle/46hx8bd480tn.yg). They are also offering a 3d kit for £99.99. The kit contains:
*2 3D Glasses
*2 3D Movies
*1 Vivanco HD TV Starter Kit (inc. Gold Plate High Speed 2M HDMI Lead, Flat Screen Cleaning Kit & Surge Protected 6 Socket Extention Lead).

Big thanks to Dooper who has saved me hours of scouring by posting so many review links in the past. In his absence, thought I'd share my research: Found a couple of pro reviews (for the 55" version but reviewers state also applies to this tv):

Seems like a great price considering the extras although cost of glasses needs factoring in. According to Sony, the Sony TDG-BR250 glasses are required. There was a recent post on HUKD ( hotukdeals.com/dea…e=1 )re getting these on a 2 for 1 at Currys but some stores were saying only if buying with the TV.
There's several sellers on Ebay selling 'compatible' pairs from around £23 each which supposedly work with several TV brands, does anyone know if these match the TDG-BR250s?
I got the 55" version of this tv and I love it!
Same price at Pc World, but quidco is currently 2.5%, compared to 1.5% at currys.

Im after a new TV for my new conservatory that is not due to finish for a couple of months, should I buy this and store or do I wait and chance it to see if another deal comes out on something else.

Technology used to be so much simpler in my younger day, now its so confusing
