Phoned Lisburn (N. Ire) this morning asked what model number this was.
A guy called David ("we normally dont give out model numbers"??) confirmed it was the above. 3 sold this morning already.
I have expires a previous post as it stated was the 52V5500.
Good at this price I think.

Ive just looked on that site and the price is £1,099.99 and if it is the KDL-52V5810 it doesnt have the Freeview HD just the Freesat built in.

In Daily Mirror Ad Yesterday (N. Ire)....

Could be instore only...

And taken from Sony Website:-
"Integrated freesat tuner - watch free-to-air HD and SD satellite broadcasts without the need for an additional set top box
Watch digital TV with the integrated standard definition digital terrestrial tuner (MPEG-2, also receives analogue)
Watch cable TV with the integrated digital cable tuner (subject to country and with supported operators only)"

Surely this is both freeview AND freesat????
Help......

It has Freesat HD but you stated it had Freeview HD originally but still a good price.

My apologies

No need to apologise m8 its still a canny price for a 52" Sony tv with Freesat.

good price for a 52" sony but I wouldn't want to watch football on it.

If you want washed out colours then get the Sony LCD. However, I'd definitely recommend going for a Panasonic plasma - I had always bought them until I saw a review here that said Sony LCDs were much better (by a Sony employee maybe?). It is to my everlasting regret that I bought a 'top of the range' Sony LCD and I suffered it for 2 weeks before giving it to my daughter for her bedroom and reinstated a Panny. I have to say that the Sony still looks great (until you turn it on) and my wife and daughter seem to like it but I thought that the picture was (and still is) very poor. I have to say that I'm talking about a 40 inch Sony LCD / 42 inch Panasonic plasma so maybe things are different for bigger screens, but I doubt it.
