I was looking for a 32" cheap 2nd TV for the bedroom and spotted this. Yes I know it's only 1366 x 768HD and not full 1080HD but it's a Sony Bravia LED, it's only £249.95 and has a 5 year warranty.
The picture is great (much better than some supposedly superior 1080P TVs), it's got Freeview HD built in, it gets good reviews and it has John Lewis's customer service behind it.
Free delivery.
Perfect for a 2nd TV.

The spec is actually 1366 x 768. It looks like a JL website typo.
See below for correct spec

I almost cried when I seen this; as I just got the W6 32" today- bought at £359.99, and thought this was it. Good price here OP. Pity it is only 720p.

Good price with the 5year warrant, hot

Good deal

Thanks!

Ha, me too... haven't bought the W6 32" yet but I'm looking

I've got the 42" downstairs and I want the 32" for the bedroom. Hopefully something will turn up in the sales?

This is still a great price though for a Sony! Hot.

Freeview HD is only streamed in 720p anyway, so any more is up-scaling. Refresh rates bother me more.

Would rather get this for £20 more to be honest johnlewis.com/sam…ump

Has some great reviews too.

good deal and 720p is just fine!

Better and … Better and cheaper:http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lg-32ln5400-32-led-full-hd-tv-asda-direct-229-1736764

In what way is it better? It is cheaper but I'd rather get the 5 year guarantee from John Lewis when compared to the Samsung.

I would opt for the LG instead of this sony though. 1024 horizontal pixels? That is not widescreen and is not really 720p either which is 1280x720

Nothing like a tv or a tablet to spark a spec war...

dcx_badass

It's not even real 720P720P = 1280x720This TV = 1024 x 768Wrong … It's not even real 720P720P = 1280x720This TV = 1024 x 768Wrong resolution on both the horizontal and vertical.

Most 720p tvs tend to have 768 vertical pixels so that is fine, its the 1024 vertical pixels which is not.

But it's never 1024, that's obviously an error, it'll be 1366 x 768

Hot, shame I bought new tv last month

Ah so you are right, TVs and monitor do or at least did exist with that resolution though. I haven't voted hot or cold but I do believe there are better options

JL website is wrong, it's definitely 1366 x 768 !

Very good price and 5yr warranty.....heated

Heat applied. I purchased from John Lewis about two weeks ago. The Piicture and Sound are 1st Class and with a Five Year Warranty a really good buy. Heads up for Jl and Sony.

Went for the sammy in the end, bit more but superb review here....

Just set up the tv and as far as I am concerned its perfect. Price wise and picture wise u can not go wrong for the money.
