Saw this deal in todays Metro...

Save up to £150 on a New Sony TV when you Trade in your old one.

The model I have listed above is the same one as per the one in the advert on the paper: Price: £699 - (£100 Trade in Discount) = £599

As per the small print there are other "larger" models which may have the full £150 off

I have .pdf'd the link to the news paper.. if you cannot see it it is on page 12 of the metro if you have the paper or follow this link online: e-edition.metro.co.uk/201…28/ and type in any old email address (I usually use on of 10 min email) to see the offer.

Hope this helps someone, spoke to someone this morning to reserve my TV, they said the 5 year warranty will still apply and also the Trade In deal starts from tomorrow ( 29/04/2010)

Hope this helps someone!

Blurb re TV:

Experience TV, movies and games in superb Full HD on the Sony Bravia KDL40EX403U. Youll also be able to enjoy music, photos and videos from your digital devices via the USB Media Player.

The Bravia Engine 3 ensures that images are displayed with impressive detail, optimal contrast, and truer-to-life colours. S-Force Front Surround complements the great picture with the full effect of digital surround sound. The Invisible speakers are cleverly hidden in the design and positioned for the ideal sound elevation.

Fans of the movies will love Cinema Mode. You can choose from two different modes to reproduce an authentic movie experience with unique film-like textures and adjusted colour and brightness settings.

The KDL40EX403U is Wi-Fi Ready so when you add your wireless adaptor or USB dongle you can easily connect to your wireless home network without the clutter of cables. With Bravia Internet Video youll be able to connect your TV directly to the Internet to access selected online services.

And lets not forget that the Sony KDL40EX403U is also DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible. This enables you to access your photos, music and movies from your PC across your home network from a compatible device. For instance, you could play your friends the latest MP3 track youve just downloaded, even though your computer is upstairs in the spare bedroom.

1080p is the purest form of high definition that a television can display. This leads to a smoother, more film-like image, which will satisfy sports and movie lovers alike. With a 1080p signal, the information that makes up an image is displayed progressively or all at once, rather than in an interlaced fashion.

Cheers op, good deal. They have the KDL40EX503U for £749.95 which is good anyway but with the trade in making it £649.95 this is excellent. I presume you could just trade in any old tv to get the trade in?

No need to take your old TV in, they pick it up on free on delivery of the other tv... yep spoke to the lady she said any tv.. i have one collecting dust and she said that would be fine!!

tesco has same tv and discount if you trade old even b&w tv, but price is 749 :(( before old tv discount and 1 year guarantee, comet giving photo frame when you buy this tv (Simply enter voucher code BRAVIA100) same price and condition about old tv like JL,tesco but i have no idea about gurantee

There is nothing wrong with the TV in our lounge but I wanted to give it to the kids as I seen a few old TV's dumped by our local fly tippers in and around our aria. I took a drive to collect one but they've been taken away by other people wanting to benefit from this suburb offer, they left the rest of the trash there!!!

I was thinking is it possible to still take the offer but opt to dispose of the old telly ourselves, just for the record of course. It's that or I will have to drive around to look for another, wish me luck!

I was given a 4" B&W TV today, it was that small I was able to carry it with one hand lol. Well if it's right what I have been reading on this forum then it should be ok for me to take advantage of this deal. The delivery driver will not have any problems with carrying this one away!!!

I was just about to buy it till I read that it's only 50hz, for an extra £50 I can buy the KDL40EX503 but it's not in stock atm, i will keep an eye on the link.
