assuming its a 8bit panel? I have one of the Hisense tvs from last year and to be honest I got it dirt cheap and it is a great tv but want to upgrade to a 10bit HDR panel as I am getting the one X in November.

That is so weird you would think one comes with the other wouldn't you, the search continues.

You don't need 4K on a 40" TV.

Depends how close you sit. At this size too small for any where but the bedroom. So 4K may make a difference in a small room. Especially for a teenager that also plays video games, like my son.... cold, as a step backwards for me.

Heat but only because it’s a Sony Bravia. From what i’ve seen they have the best picture quality hands down which makes up for the fact that it’s not 4K

Are Sony still only putting 2x HDMI ports on their lower end sets? That's a massive "turn off" for me

You do if you want to use the TV as a 4k monitor, which is a perfectly reasonable thing to do especially if the TV has 4:4:4 chroma.

Disagree that is only suitable for the bedroom.

We don't all want huge TV's. I think 65 inch tv's in people's lounges look a bit ridiculous.

Is this a smart tv?

Get the smart one for 399 …Get the smart one for 399 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06WLM3NGQ/ref=twister_B06XSQT37C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The software support for Smart TVs is generally poor so better to put the money saved towards a Roku which has better support.

Smart functionality is terrible.
You're better off buying the normal version and getting Roko, apple TV etc

No smart version is £400. As mentioned, don't bother because Sony don't know how to make smart TVs, terrible terrible menu system and functionality. Stick to Samsung for Smart TVs

I’d rather have this over a LG 4K any day!

Its £399 now
