Showing £899 for me how do you get £574

Is this the 829B? Your post just says "42W8". It's just that if it's the 829B it's 400Hz not 300. Unless there's an additional model with 100Hz less.

i'm confused by this too, but I 'think' this must be the 829, so it must be 400hz in that case?

Sounds like a good deal with the bundled sound bar, have some heat

Agree, seems a like a great deal, especially with 5yr warranty and sound bar. Would buy if it i was single or looking for a divorce.

On the John Lewis site the model listed is KDL42W829BBU. If true, then it is 400Hz. Fullspec here:

I think the ***29b part relates to the colour option of the TV

I've amended the description. Says on the site that "models W829 and W815 are the same TV in black and silver respectively"

Motion flow 400 is just 100Hz

see here: rtings.com/inf…ion

100Hz is very good but here is little point debating or worrying about MF XR 200/300/400 as they are effectively the same

only Sony motion flow 800 is 200Hz

thanks for that. to confirm this is online only, they said they don't do these bundles instore, incase anyone was wondering

Mines arrived over the weekend. Wall mounted (had to buy a VESA adaptor £12 ish as TV isn't VESA compatible) along with the soundbar. Really happy. Note - the volume control is via the mini remote supplied with the soundbar so I use a harmony remote instead and the TV comes with a power brick with a detachable cord.

Bought with tesco deal-really like all aspects especially sound from tv and speaker. Previously had a samsung. Can be a little slow at start up but not that noticable. Only real issue I have is smart functions, they don't have a user 'pick up and go' feel. Might be good excuse to buy apple tv

anyone not wanting the sound bar let me know - would buy from you via FS/FT section if cheap

You probably meant "you're" (double face palm)...

Sarcasm only works when done correctly.

Is there no VGA input on this model?

There's an everything input on this model. Though best not to pay much attention to John Lewis' specs. X)

Mine suffers from terrible motion blur.

Can you get itv player on the smart bit of the tv? That's what annoys me on my kitchen one. Just want to catch up with Corrie and can only get a limited choice excl itv

Take it back then as it must be faulty, mine doesn't suffer with it at all whether it be FPS gaming or watching football

Torn between this or the Panasonic TX42AS650B from richer sounds, which with the cash back being offered, is the same price. This Sony with the soundboard seems a good deal.

Great price, ordered one, thanks

Considering the exact same two. Leaning towards the Panasonic.

Not sure why this has gone so hot, it's been only £5 more for weeks, with free blu-ray player or soundbar.

I bought one last month

Can someone link me to the £12 VESA conversion kit. I need this to be able to mount this on my three tier black glass stand which has a wall bracket built in. Will the conversion kit do the trick and is there any drawbacks

Wow this is so tempting but I'm holding out until I buy an Xbone or PS4

Just bought this at the weekend form Richer Sounds (although for £4 more)! Great TV and the soundbar is good.

HOT, ordered ! thanks op

Great price, although sticking with my 47" 960V for now.

If you are ordering online be aware that the sound bar gets delivered seperately.

I ordered the bundle on Sunday 22nd for delivery on Saturday 28th. The TV came but no sound bar only to find out they delivered it to my neighbours on the Monday after I had ordered it! I

Great TV with excellent features, you will not be disappointed!

If you're buying for gaming. Get this TV. It's beautiful. Low input lag. When in game mode.
I got this alone for £420 without soundbar. I think the sound is pretty decent without it, but I'd love one now
