As usual people voting cold when they see it's from Very = Very ignorant.

very hot as the price is without codes!

this is super deal for a top notch TV. If people can't stretch to the 46" version, then the 40" at £499 is a steal. I'm a big Fan of Sony Bravia Tv's and have the 40" previous range V series. I'm half tempted to go for this. This website cost's me a lot of money in shopping... but then I do make all those savings!
one thing I will say about this model, it's been around for sometime (12/14 months) however, it has all the features; 1080p full HD, 100hz refresh rate, 4 Hdmi connectors, Bravia Engine 3, good contrast ratio and it's a 46", what I'm after.
Oh, and it's got freeview (not that I need that).

these have been posted over the last few days

Not this size

after a bit or research, found out that this is a discountinued model now. Not so excited about it now. it has been replaced by the SONY KDL46V5810 (£785 on pricerunner). Still a good price for a good TV. Nothing officialy listed on the Sony website that this is a 100Hz TV.

Edit: the W series is 100Hz,not the V series.

Voted some heat.

Thats a great price for that TV. With no codes theres no risk at all. Too many idiots on this site now who vote cold because its from Very. I've never had a problem with them either with or without codes. So the ones who voted cold need to go and die somewhere so they cant act like idiots any longer!

Good deal!

i ordered the 40" earlier, cost £411

i did do a seperate post as didnt see this one, guess u beat me to it though

I initially ordered the 32" but when the 37" came back in stock I ordered that and cancelled the other as for £50 more it's well worth it.

That was yesterday and delivery is due today already.

btw do these take quite a while to send confirmation emails? i still have no had one, but i have had one off quidco saying £45 is being tracked.

£499 with 10% off code for new customers + 8% quidco.

Already used them on other stuff!! Bit risky in case they refuse to honour it (I've never come across this however) + you won't get your quidco.

Went for that one myself too. was initially after the 32" model for the bedroom but seen the 40" was £100 more and decided to get this instead, will put my 37" viera into the bedroom instead.
No New customer code for me so full price, but still a good price as more expensive elsewhere and no payment till April '11,
Quidco has tracked @ £44.91 so if tht goes through, which it should as no codes, it'll end up £454.09 in total. Not bad as i paid around £449 for the viera last year.

Maybe as you're a new customer they'll take longer to process it,
When i first started buying from them the confirmation took a short while and status stayed at processing,
Now i've bought from them quite a lot it goes through to order accepted straight away and confirmation is sent immediately.

It'll no doubt be through sometime today or tomorrow at latest.

Yeah, thought the same, i've used a couple codes that were sent to me and one or two from here on various accounts, not a lot mind you, only once or twice, but still didnt want to take the risk.
with quidco @ 8% you're still saving, i've previously been refused quidco because codes have been used but should go through fine this time. Even with 10% code, no quidco, you're only saving 2% more so not worth the risk, imo, incase they claim it back.
A lot of the codes posted previously arent working now.

This is an amazing deal.

Just got 2 X 40 inch Sony Bravias for £411 each! (my Dad wanted one when he knew the price)

To get this price, you must enter 10% account opening code and 8% Quidco. (the regular price is £499, which is still a good deal!).

Can't get that price on used TVs!

I haven't received email confirmation either, but I received a phone call to confirm the order.
Many thanks for posting this offer

the one i got was the 40 inch £499 one, got the 10% off new customer plus 8% quidco so £95 deducted off the total cost.

also Very phoned me to confirm the order and straight after i got my confirmation email.

so glad i didnt get the £400 37" in sainsburys now. £11 more and i have the 40" well chuffed

All sizes are in stock - even the 37" one is back in now.

There's some real idiots on this site, needs un-expiring.

Received my 37" yesterday, very pleased with it.

Nipped down to Comet and they're selling off some stunning tv stands dirt cheap to make way for new ones coming in. I got a piano black bench made from really thick solid glass. It's about 1.5m long and weighs 40kg. Bought for £40. Easily around £200 in the shops so have a nice set up now for a great price.

this so should be a hot deal. i think had it been listed as the 37 or 40 inch tv people would notice it more.

They've already been listed along with 32" and none have exceeded 60c. People see it's from Very and automatically vote cold without looking in to it properly.

surely Very can't be that bad?

They aren't that bad. I dont know anyone who has had a bad experience.

Then you get retards on here who tell stories of how they bought 10 TV's with a 20% off code and Very removed the code from the order. Suddenly Very are unreliable and everyone should avoid them like the plague. Its ridiculous!

Ah, well pretty sure my order has gone through fine since they phoned me to confirm everything lol

Sorry, just came back online.

I ordered yesterday, will probs be here tomorrow as normally when it says despatched it will be here next day.
Will checked tomorrow and hopefully it'll say due today.

Glad yours has been confirmed via phone, i'm sure it'll be sent out soon.

lol,

not been here long but definitely noticed that
very = cold
round these parts,

never had any complaints tbh,
only problem i've had was with the buffalo ext hd,
but then it was a price glitch and i knew it was hit or miss, so cant complain.

we all love a bargain but i think what people forget is it is a business at the end of the day, and their aim is to make a profit,
i wouldnt be happy if it were my business and thousands of people started using a code sent only to a select few,
especially when, as someone else said previously, you get some people ordering larger quantities of the same item at a vastly reduced price using a code, just to flog them on.
draws attention to the item and to the price being paid, which can often spoil it for everone.

Back on topic, cant wait to get my tv and see what its like compared with the viera.:-D

now all i need is a stand to put this TV on.

I had the same problem as they are very expensive for a good one. I went to Comet just for a look around and on the off chance spotted some stunning TV stands they were selling off to make way for new ones coming in.

The one I bought was a 1.5m long bench style TV stand made from thick solid glass and I mean solid - it weighs 40kg. It's piano black coloured and looks real sweet. Bought for £40, staff confirmed these are around £200 normally and I would not argue with that at all.

Obviously store specific but may be worth popping to your nearest one to see if they are doing something similar.

Now what to do with my old stand which is also really nice but will only fit up to 32".

Yea i saw you post about that the other day so went up my local one last night. they didnt really have any good ones on offer. the one i quite liked which funny enough had the 40" tv i am getting on it was £100 but he said he would take 10% off if i bought there and then, but didnt fancy it lol.

that sony TV is £800 in comet lol. i said i paid £411 and he didnt believe me lol.

I find it very expensive and it's rare to find a good deal. I was thinking the same - I've got that lovely TV there for half the price!

Maybe they could cut prices by losing some of their staff, don't know how they survive the amount of people working in there during the week when it's dead.

min wage job but potential to earn more through commision.

some people just dont like buying online so tend to go to places like comet still for electricals. and then they trick them into buying insurance on the product lol.

i can remember when i bought a gamecube there for £200, they tried selling me insurance that would of worked out about £150.
