The clue is in the "Bravia" badge - I consider myself a bit of an expert on TVs

I am genuinely interested in this TV but sadly your 'unbiased' opinion isn't really enough to sway me....

I thought the break might have done you good but obviously not...:(

@dga...have you seen these panels in the flesh? how is the motion handling and SD quality..?

This too has no 3D.

Hmm...that one doesn't have a Bravia badge either so it can't be as good......
RGBDirect have the Samsung LE55C650 for £999, I know which i'd buy. Is this mid range 2009 TV £274 better than the highly rated 2010 C650? not a chance.

With cashback it's also £1046.18 at Best Buy.

Hey I'm not arguing for or against this TV, just putting out there!

Likin' the deal tags by the way ;-)
This TV has been this price for at least the last month or more.
No Freeview HD.
Rather overpriced for an old stock 2009 TV
The EX range is the replacement for the W5500/ W5800; the HX is much further up the range. KDL-52Z5500 is comparable to the HX.

The C650 is better and cheaper than the W5800, it also has Freeview HD.

EX7 = WE series, EX5 = W series, EX4 = V series, EX3 = S series, BX = L series, NX7 = E/ EX1 series, LX9 = ZX1 series, NX8/HX7 = Z series, HX9 = X series.

The HX9 is the flagship not midrange and has a true LED LD backlight. You can't compare that to the W5500/W5800, it's in a different league. You won't just gain 3D, it blows the W5500 out of the water. Lets not forget it has better processing, upscaling, a better panel with better blacks and contrast etc.

The EX5 was the direct replacement for the W5500/ W5800 and is comparable.
