Sony Bravia KDL55W829 with free soundbar Sony HT-CT80.

Soundbar is a newer model older one was HT-CT60.

and the usual 5yr JL guarantee.

I was lucky to get a price match with Marks Electrical for 689 when they had the telly in stock.

Price spy is good site to look for cheaper options and get JL to price match.

Standard audio on this TV is poor and you have to wait for a good minute for the TV to initialise itself. Picture quality is really good from a HD source.

EDIT: TV takes approx a minute to load up when powered up.

so do I have this tv and it responds immediately as well

My LG TV and Samsung TV's does not seem to have this issue on start up , but bear in mind this issue only occurs on initial start up on the Sony.

I have the 50in version, no start up issues either

I have this TV and the only niggling thing is when u want to change source - there is a delay in you being able to Do this. Amazing picture on this set!

Can you confirm that this only happens when you first turn the power on at the mains. It's just that your initial comment is a bit ambiguous and may wrongly affect someone's decision to buy this tv.
I can't imagine anyone needing to shut it off at the mains after every use as it consumes such little power on standby anyway.

It's not just you, mines exactly the same when powering up.

Can't turn the HDMI input over until fully initialised as per your vid.

There is a startup delay before the tv will accept inputs from the remote. Is a bit annoying but not the end of the world. If you have hdmi cec/Bravia sync enabled, instead of turning the tv on just turn your device on (eg bluray player or ps4). The TV will auto start on the correct input.
