Great discount on Sony Bravia TVs and other Sony items.

Use code MTDAYAFF313 before 10th March for 10% off for Mother's Day. Code also works on main Sony site.

I just purchased a KDL40EX653BU.A, RRP £699 for £387 less 2% Quidco.

Most are customer returns and basically brand new apparently.

Be quick as they sell out fast but do go back on every few days. Been checking for a few months to get the TV I wanted with the right discount.

thanks OP

Do these come with warranty?

ido_kayat

12 months warranty

The code MTDAYAFF313 doesn't appear to work on the outlet site, the voucher box disappears!

I don't know what to do now. I had originally looked at the KDL40EX653BU but didn't really want to spend more than about £450 so had pretty much decided on the Samsung UE40ES5500 for £430 with a five year warranty. Should I stick with that or go for this with 12 month warranty? Decisions, decisions...

Seems to be OOS on 22 and 26 inch TV's now

The box disappeared for me this morning too using IE but it worked fine on Google Chrome.

Are there 3D glasses included? It looks like there are not any, if this is the case more expense.

Hope you decided quick!!

Samsung every time - they are far better than Sony now, and with a five year warranty ....? No contest !

Great site, have ordered a TV from there before and it looked new

however I'm pretty sure you don't et Quidco on th refurbished site

Re last Post...
Just rang Sony customer services and they say that you have to purchase the glasses separately.

You get 2% on the outlet site. 6% on the normal Sony one.

Forgot about Quidco. Ordered the 46hx763 but had issue with accepting credit card kept saying there was an error. Still got confirmation email so will see.

Is the sound output generally better on Sony tv's compared with Samsung? Or does that just depend on each individual tv and its specifications?

From memory as a former Sony employee....
The .A on product codes will be A Grade graded stock - generally near new or just a marked box.
The graded goes down in quality to .B and .C from memory which are repairs etc.

I used to buy lots of .A stock with no issues whatsoever.

Five year warranty? Isn't that if you cough up extra monies or buy from JL?

Thanks mate...the model i was looking at has a .A at the end so this probably just a marked box or sommet then ? Do you ever get any marks on the actual TV ??

Thanks

Just got a new 26inch Bravia TV from there for £250 (£179 off). Perfect condition, proper packaging, free delivery. Very happy.

I occasionally had the odd mark but generally underneath or non visible locations i.e. round the back. For a .A I doubt you will though - more likely originally a damaged box.

Awesome!

Picked up the 26" Smart TV (newer revision to mine) £250 - 10% £225 .....hopefully 2% quidco as well.

Thanks OP, great deals to be had there.

I bought a KDL40EX653BU.A from this site in november, not had any problems, not a scratch on the telly (Looked like it was just a customer unwanted return).
Great service overall and very quick delivery by DPD

would never buy a sony tv ever again they are slow and of poor design quality, Samsung with a 5 year guarantee every time

Also worth mentioning, these float in and out of stock. I got my telly in November from this site and there was a 10% voucher knocking about then too.

AV receiver STRDH520.CEK.A £108 with the code.

Thanks, bought a 46" mmmm

Now I just have to get it past the missus!

Does this code work for the normal site too? Ordering a vaio later hopefully it does

I know a few people who have had samsung tvs that went pop at 13- 16 months old and samsung didnt want to know. Sony have really good customer support but you are unlikeley to ever need it as they are bomb proof.

Samsung are for people who dont know much about tv's. One look at home cinema choice or what hi fi and you will learn they are not the best, they just give retailers very good margins at the moment hense get pished as 'the best' by many salesmen.

good deal this

Yeah i've failed on that one. Oh well the seed has been planted...

Not much left on the big TV's, but worth keeping an eye on.

But then do your wives/long-time GFs ask you when they want to buy a £150+ pair of shoes?

Just out of curiosity, what are everyone's "no need for O.H. approval" spending limits?
We should get a country-wide graph going...

I would never buy another Sony product after the abysmmal customer service I received from them. 12 month warranty on a refurbished Sony product you say. Good luck when it all goes wrong as they will not help you.
