I bought three, one for each of the two grand-kids, and one for me so they don't **** up the nice shiny new Samsung!

From the reviews there's a code to identify the TV/Device and then you assign the function somehow!!!

Should be "child's play"!

Oh, this thread is going to be fun again! Last time it ended up with posts implying that you are a bad parent for buying this product!

Anyway, lets get away from that a minute shall we.

This product is great for people with a seperate TV and STB particuarly, as its programmable to turn on and off both devices, and to change the channel on the STB and the volume on the TV. It also has a lock so if the volume up button is leant on, it stops sending IR after a couple of seconds.

It is also Nokia 3330 bulletproof.

So if you have kids of grandparents who are struggling with modern tech, this is a great solution. Cheap at this price too, I think I paid a little more a few months back.

Thanks for the positive post. So letting your kids watch TV is bad for them is it. I think we're 40+ years too late for that. What's wrong with controlling what they watch and how loud it gets, and then there's all those picture settings they mess around with and mess up your TV.

I re-posted as the others seemed to have expired and this one seems a little cheaper.

I bought this a while back from argos... i have tried everything in the booklet and still not working. I managed to get it to control tv but for some reason will not operate the sky box.

Thanks for posting my little girl is only 1 but is obsessed with the tv remote at least ne if she has her own she will stop hiding ours!!

And how do you get channel 8?
- think I might get the outlaws one of these, they're always complaining they can't get the TV to work properly!
