My first post.......Saw this in an email from Dabs looked like a very good price.

Superb quality, easy to use Digital Single Lens Reflex (D-SLR) camera. Excellent general purpose kit for everyday shooting. Enjoy Super SteadyShot image stabilisation from wide angle to medium telephoto in a light, compact package.

I thought they were £300 in currys?

This is only for the body, no kit lens included.

Welcome to HUKD ]Dicke!

Just got a PC World price-match on this with an additional 10%. Might be worth a go if your local has stock?

Not in stock and delivery dates keep changing at Dabs. Offered body only deal and then that was out of stock too. Absolute frustration.

i think they will only price match if the item is in stock (worth a try i suppose.. i was going to do the same..but my nearest store with a a200 in stock was lakeside.. so not particularly local to me)

as it looked like dabs was a no go i decided to just go and buy one from camera world and got money of the little extras (memory card, filter, micro fibre cloth)

/my mini review
impressed with the camera so far.. (haven't used the kit lens yet, using some old minotla lens from an old slr)
only comment i would make is the camera bracketing doesn't have a wide enough exposure range for hdr, so you'd have to set the exposures manually (hopefully this is something sony will fix with a firmware update in the future)
until then i'll shoot in raw, convert to dng file format via photoshop.. and open into photomatrix to do the tone mapping - psuedo hdr
only photoshop cs3 with the raw plugin is able to open a200 raw files
photoshop cs2 with raw plugins is not able to open a200 raw files
on the sony website there is a driver download for windows so you can preview raw files in explorer (this wasn't on the cd that came with the camera?)
the software that comes with the camera seems pretty good
/end mini review

listed on dabs again.. and in stock with free delievery this weekend

£234.02 inc vat

Can I emphasise again, just in case people make an error with this, that dabs have told me that their listing is BODY ONLY. It might be worth a go price matching with PC world, but I think anyone ordering this from dabs is likely to be dissapointed.
