My first Deal post so be gentle ;-)
Got one of these for my birthday on 27th, great quality recording picture with up to 8hrs recording time.

I wouldn't trust those specs if they come off the Comet site, when I researched a DVD recorder not 1 system had the correct specs on Comet site.
Check another or the official Sony Website....

Also it looks like it can't record RGB from another source via the 2nd scart in, only outputs RGB.

This is a fantastic price for a top-brand DVD recorder (Comet also does a Panasonic DVD recorder for £99.99 - the DMR-ES10), but they currently seem to be out of stock.

One tip though: If you don't have Sky/cable TV, I would strongly recommend paying a little more, and going for one of the DVD recorders with Freeview built it.

I have the Panasonic DMR-ES20, and I adore the way I can view the 7-day programme guide on the screen, find the programme I want to record, then just hit the ENTER button to set the DVD recorder to record this programme. It doesn't get much easier than that !

It's like having the luxury of Sky+ without any monthly subscription.

DVD recorders like this will generally cost from around £160, but I reckon it's well worth the extra money.

I'm looking for a DVD recorder that is good quality and can replay with "Upscaling" to immitate Hi Definition ?

Does any one have any idea if this one does this or can anyone recommend one that records and upscales in playback ?

Might have gone for this but no DV in according to specs.

I have a Panasonic EX-75. This one upscales. Also it has:

Only had a quick look through the manual but I think some of the specs on comet site or different, Just been in Asda and the same Model is £149 so this is a great deal for a top brand.

Nice find Thanks for your first deal post Rhino :pirate:
