The FX730 comes with a high-quality 7 TFT LD display is bright, clear and the 480 x 234 dot resolution ensures excellent detail and sharpness. It plays most DVD and CD disc formats including dual-layer DVDs, audio CDs and Super VCD. It can also play DivX video, JPEG and mp3 files stored on CD or DVD. As well as this the player features a USB connection that allows you to enjoy JPEG, MP3, DivX and MP4 files from a USB storage device or directly from your PC.

96kHz/24bit digital/analogue audio conversion and Dolby Pro Logic Down Mix ensures first-rate audio quality. Xenta? That's like comparing a Sony tv to a Bush...besides anything else, the Sony has Dolby audio and a 5 hrs battery time which is very handy on long journeys.

If you want to compare, at least compare it with the same class/quality of player!

I don't think the cold votes have anything to do with the deal. It's the fact that it's verging on the price of a entry level netbook. Might seem like comparing apples to pears but I guess this is how some see it.

Voted hot as it's got a usb slot, saves switching disks/carrying a stack of dvds.

I bought this for my sons birthday in May from Amazon...same price....Can't fault it, great picture and sound. 5hour battery a godsend on long journeys.
