As above, all colours reduced is between £180 and £220 elsewhere! This was in the Metro Centre, all marked down. Also had the PRS-300 for £99!

Are they feeling threatened by the new Amazon Kindle I wonder?

Very cheap for the PRS-600 reader but I gather the technology that makes the screen touch responsive also makes it dimmer, so bear that in mind. (Basically e-ink works by reflecting ambient light, e.g. from the sun or a light bulb. The touch part is a layer on top of the e-ink which light has to pass through on its way in then pass through again on its way out. Some of the light is lost in each direction so the overall effect is a "dimmer" screen.)

I was tempted to wait for the kindle but am off on my one and only hols before it's released which swayed me!

still £250 on the website, worth keeping an eye on that in case it follows suit.

They also had the 27" iMac 3.06 GHz dual core for £1199 which on reflection is cheaper than most online retailers...perhaps they were clearing out stock

good find. Just grabbed myself a PRS600. Seems have loads instock. Manchester city centre branch.

Saw this and told me dad to get one, was priced at £169.99 (HMV Liverpool) but he had a word with the sales staff and he got it for £129.99 fantastic saving was £209 in the sony centre

I would recommend trying this out before you buy it, although you can probably return it. The page turns are quite slow and the touch isn't that responsive and like with all eink readers the screen flashes black between pages. Most people have said they get used to it... I personally found it too irritating.

new ones coming out any day now prs-350 and prs-650, will see about price and might sell on kindle without opening if they r cheap enough.

edit: looks like £160 and £200, no thanks!
