Works out at £240 for the two years, buy with £90 quidco it's it's £150 which is £6.25 a month, the phone on PAYG is at £140 so seems a good deal to me.

On the contract though you get 100 mins and 500 texts a month

If it's cold, could you point me in the direction of a better contract as I have ordered this today and am sure they will let me cancel before the phone arrives, if there is something better.

The Sony C510 looks like a better choice, based on the specification. It has modem capabilities and PC backup + mass storage.
None of them have GPS though :-(

good deal - voted hot

I took a look at it and it seems ok, but I have an obsession with flip or slide phones.

Thanks mate

No thanks to 24 month contracts, I won't encourage the networks to move that way, away from 12 month deals, even though I often don't upgrade for some time after, I don't like being locked in, when the phone may break etc.

I don't mind, I mean phones are good, but be honest how often do you use most of the features of the newest latest phones, when camera phones first came out 0.1-0.3 MP cameras, bad quality meant no one used them, now I take quite a few pics, but still hardly ever video, I had a nokia 3310 on release day, since then Iv'e only had the motorola E550 as it was more practical because it had a colour screen camera and a flip phone and a samsung U600 which I got a at christmas, because it's a really nice phone, then I figured I need to go to contract as I'm getting a £10 top up every month so I figured why not go over to contract, so I'm just looking for the best contract out their, If you can find me a good 12 month or 18 month one, then please let me know, as it's either this or buymobilephones.net/mob…053 but I don't quite understand cashback and how it works, which puts me off that deal.

Any help is appreciated at this stage.

i think the saving is a little bit more because thew £10 line rental inc VAT at 17.5%, so you will be paying cheaper when voda adjusts it to 15% until dec... every little helps

so do you reckon I should go for the vodafone one.

its a good deal as vodafone network is for me the best (i've used all of them but in terms of coverage voda never failed me).

pro: does not involve cashback, cheap line rental, good network
con: 24mth contract is way too long! you can normally upgrade on 21mths, but usually a phone lasts for around 12-15mths for me...

Is it ok for someone like me though who's not too heavy on their phone and quidco has never failed to track for me.

yes its very good actually, even if quidco fails to track, you can always query and get the money. i ordered mine on 18mths. quidco tracked within 1 day. so i'm paying £10pm post quidco, no cashback involved also dont forget you can upgrade your contract 3months before the term ends... C510 is nice too
