What is a clearance phone?

By using reconditioned/clearance stock, we are able to offer you even further savings across our whole range. These products are either ex-demonstration, trial or mail-order returned. They are not flawed products although they may carry very minor cosmetic marks. For your peace of mind, each and every product has been quality inspected by our engineers and reconditioned if necessary. Each product also comes with a full, one year manufacturer’s warranty.

Please note that reconditioned products are usually repackaged once tested and do not come in the original branded box. Reconditioned handsets will be packaged with a charger and battery. Other accessories and memory cards are not guaranteed .

I used to have this phone, and so did my brother and both of us had loads of problems with it. My brother had to send it back quite a few times, and I had to reinstall the software on mine a couple of times because of simple things like the alarm wouldnt work! Both of us couldnt wait to be able to upgrade and get rid of it!!!!!

had one for about 18 months, good phone and an excellent camera with a good flash system.
happily connects via bluetooth to my tomtom and my parrot handsfree at the same time.
Really pleased with it.

Good offer , thanks for posting.
Tried to order but as usual their stupid system has ended up getting my card blocked so the normal hassle of having to contact MBNA security and then E2Save to complete a simple transaction !

£7.50 quidco, don't forget

e2saves's handsets are usually unlocked: especially the clearance ones.

I've had that problem before with e2save - I think they do it with every credit card transaction :?

Does anyone know where I can get a good priced memory card for this?
The past 5 phones Ive had I just slotted my mirco sd card into but I can't do it with this one

I have read some good reviews for this - especially the camera quality

yeh me and my brother included in the very very poor reviews! Its an awful phone but i suppose if u just need it as a spare then it might be ok, but id sooner choose a different phone than this one!

Plus it's unlocked already! Bargain :-D

I had this phone for eighteen months and found it to be very good. The only problems are that the buttons are a bit oddly shaped and took some getting used to and I think I needed to upgrade the firmware to fix a bluetooth problem. I would expect these ones to be fine and have the latest firmware if they're refurbished.

OBVIOUSLY!!!!

Are Sony Ericsson affiliated with Carphone Warehouse like Nokia is? consequently, carphone ware house will fix your Nokia phone for free for the first 2 yr`s (within warranty period), I think.

OBVIOUSLY!!!!

Clearly to me and to you, but the poster didn't appear to know that.
Not everyone is blessed with wisdom of the ages.

This is a great phone, i have downgraded from a HTC HD 2 due to finance issues and bought one second hand for £55 quid.

It does what a phone should do with excellence, i upgraded to latest firmwire and no issues with anything, great camera (better than HTC HD 2) perfect for texting, OK music player does bluetooth headphones & handsfree and has basic webbrowser, bargain for this money!

how does this compare to the SE elm that was on here a few days ago?

You save £62.95 on RRP!! Has the potential to be the hottest deal on this site

TERRIBLE battery.

Excellent deal. O2 were selling it new for £97 one particular weekend about six months ago. This is the best price since then.

As others have mentioned it should run fine on the latest firmware.

This was a top of the range handset in summer 2007 and sold for £250 odd back then.

Hot. ordered one

had 2 models of this one, did all firmware upgrades and had nothing but issues... very good price for a not so great phone

Admittedly this is cheap and, if you want to spend as little as this on your mobile, then it might be for you. But my wife has just gotten rid of this handset after an 18-month contract and is thrilled to be binning it. I would dispute claims that the camera is any good and for the last six months the battery cover could fall off at any time (it hasn't been abused!). Shortly before she got rid of it, it begun to crash a lot too.

She's pretty easygoing about what mobile she has, as long as she can call and text but she hated this phone.

ordered

battery last me 3 days, considering my htc hd2 needed chareging every night i thought that was pretty good :-)

I had one of these before I lost it during an awesome night out.:whistling:

Fantastic to use when it was working properly, but I had a LOT of hangs where it would lose the 2G mobile signal and only a reboot would restore the service. My friend had lots of issues with his too, so much so that he got completely fed up with it. and bought a new phone instead of waiting for a free upgrade!

We both upgraded the Firmware, but still continued to have issues, just not as frequently - T-mobile suggested I turn off the 3G signal to stop it losing the 2G signal, which seemed to help, but wasn't very practical!

Ordered, a fantastic price for this phone. There's no point really in spending hundreds on a mobile for daily use, so as long as it makes and receives calls, sends and receives texts and takes pictures on the fly - I'm happy.

There really aren't any better deals around for the money.

I think you may need glasses. 'On the fly' and 'of the fly' are different things entirely.

Should've gone to Specsavers.

Also, for the record, it's not 'refurbished' but 'clearance'. The site clearly distinguishes between the two. Refurbished means it's been repaired and restored whilst clearance means it's old stock they're clearing out - usually perfect.

Interesting deal. Does the handset come unlocked?

Also would they accept it if you returned it - I wanna give one as a present.
