Are you sure? Virgin is piggybacking on TMobile, so it depends on how they locking phones.
And anyway, once you spent your promotional 35 quid with them, they'll unlock it for free, isn't it?

Not sure how this will work Kommunist. Easymobile also piggybacks on Tmobile (I think)

I think there are two levels of locking - network lock and provider lock (I write this from memory, so if I am wrong don't bite me :)). If Virgin are only using network lock, then it'll work on T-Mobile (since it is their network) but if they are using provider lock then it needs to be unlocked.

But they still unlocking their phones for free aren't they?

HOT DEAL edi!! Voted++!!

I can unlock your k750i for you for free if u want. I've got cable and box.

That's quite handy .... thanks fatony

Alternatively, you can get the 750i on 02 from Littlewoods.

£100 - £30 voucher - 6%quidco = £66. Only thing is you gotta buy it using their credit thing (20 weeks at 4.95). I rang them up and they said u can just pay it all in one go after a week, so dont have to bother with the hassle of 4.95 a week stuff.

I got one 2 days ago. Arrived yesterday. However its locked to 02, so now I need to unlock it for orange.

Could you please let me know where you bought your cable and software? I checked ebay just now, not sure which one I should buy. I bought K750i two weeks ago, I don't know whether it is new version or not? Thanks.

I just got an o2 K750 from Great Universal for £72 after Quidco. Had it unlocked by a man on the market this morning for a fiver.

They will charge me for 10 pounds for unlocking. I got two, that is why I want to buy a cable to DIY.

I asked a guy on ebay about buying the cable/software for unlocking k750i's and he said they don't work on the newest ones, although they can still be unlocked.

Hi Fatony

Could you please give some information for your unlocking cable. Can it unlock new version (bought phone two weeks ago)? thanks.

bought this phone, came in a box without battery and ear phone! time to call them back.

I used to work for Virgin mobile

as long as you have put on £35 of credit (not including the £5 already on the sim to start with) they will unlock the phone without you having to have used it aswell.

They give you £30 in vouchers and theres £5 already on the sim, you will need to put another £5 voucher to make your physical top up £35

once thats done a quick call to customer services and they give you the unlock code and procedure over the phone!
