The new K800i cybershot is sure to cement Sony Ericsson's position as one of the leading mobile phone manufacturers. The first cybershot branded mobile, the K800i blends many of the features of Sony's popular range of digital camera's with their equally popular range of mobiles.

Slide down the cover on the back of the K800i and you'll discover a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and a whole range of other goodies waiting to be unleashed. Featuring an exceptional range of options, the K800i is truly a camera as well as a phone. If, like many people, you own a Sony cybershot digital camera, then the menu's will be very familiar. Capable of delivering pictures in resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 pixels (roughly 800-900KB in size) which you could print in anything upto A4 size, the K800i means you can really do without a seperate camera.

Featuring a xenon flash with red eye reduction like you would see in most standalone digital camera's, the K800i delivers good results even in dark places. Best of all, the BestPic feature makes photography easy by taking multiple pictures and giving you the option of which one you would like to keep, which should help reduce the frustration of missing the shot you wanted being missed because the camera didn't take the picture quick enough. Other great features of the camera include 16x digital zoom, autofocus, macro mode and an image stabiliser function to get sharper still pictures without all the blur you can sometimes get, plus when you're recording video, use the video stabiliser to compensate for those small hand vibrations.

The only slight disappointment on the imaging front is the poor video mode. Still using the rather out of date QCIF resolution (176 x 144 pixels) at 15 frames per second (fps), the reults are a bit of a let down given what Sony could have put in. Given that my Sony digital camera can record at upto 640x480 resolution with 30 fps, indeed the Nokia N93 will feature this enhanced video mode although it is a wholely different beast (you'll understnad the beast reference when the N93 comes out). The video mode does feature an image stabiliser to help reduce camera shake.

More than just a camera, the K800i features all that you would expect from a modern mobile phone with all the mobile entertainment bits & bobs like MP3 player, stereo Fm radio with RDS support, MP3 ringtones, Java games, bluetooth with stereo headphone support and the ability to access a whole load of content available via 3g.

A fully featured phone, the K800i is probably the best single item you could have. Capable of replacing not only your digital camera, but your MP3 player as well, oh and it can handle phone calls & messages as well. Ok, so nothing's perfect, but with the K800i the only things you could really say is that it may seem slightly larger than you might wish it to be but its actually only 1.5mm thicker, 5mm taller and 1mm wider than the W800i, weighing in at 115g which isn't bad for something with all this crammed inside. The only other downside is that the video mode as mentioned earlier. A great all round mobile, the K800 is going to be very popular and another surefire hit for Sony Ericsson.

admin im not i just saw a poster i will confirm this eveing, dont take this the wrong way

Can we have this deal removed until ]sarbjeet_ confirms his details, then he can repost his deal if he likes. At the moment none of the information provided is correct.
X10

also seems odd how they could reduce it to £130 with a £30 voucher, that means original price would have to be £160-its considerably more than that judging by previous posters calls to the Link

Maybe it's the K750i, or w800, that might be closer to that value.
Still, can we remove this deal please.

I haven't seen that (or if I did I didn't know it was misleading. If that's the case you should ask to have that removed too. I don't think there should be double standards at all and we have a method to comment on such things.
mediatom - I suggest that you contact a MOD on the respective issue

Just phoned my local store and they are saying £199.99. Perhaps it limited to certain stores.

The £5 Play voucher was backed up with a scan/photo of the ad in the londonpaper. As I understand edi has pursued this with Play on the telephone and the issue has been sorted.

I'm not having a go at sarbjeet here it's just let's make sure to the best of our ability that info is accurate when it is posted or else post a disclaimer saying you're not sure.

Hello Admin, I didn't think you were having a go at sarbjeet, but I don't think any of the information he has posted can be verified by anyone here, and we have tried. So that is the reason I'm asking to remove this misleading post.
There is nothing to stop him posting it again when he has the full and correct details and that doesn't mislead and annoy people trying to get this deal.

I'm on the same page X10. I was just responding to the other post to make sure it was clear as to what the problem is here.

I think I'll just click Expired for now.

I think Sarbjeet_ was overjoyed when he saw the ad. We all know how high street shops trick to get us in to the store. I spotted something similar yesterday in one of my local mobile shop
