Sony Ericsson K800i - £19 per month on o2 (no cashback to claim)!! Term of £228. £35 QuidCo!!

Found 6th Sep 2006
o2 have the new Sony Ericsson K800i available for FREE when you sign up to their "o2 Online 50" tariff which gives you 50 x-net minutes and 200 texts for just £19 per month. You buy directly from o2, a cheap price of £228 for the whole year with no hassle or risk of cashback claims going wrong. If you purchase via QuidCo however you will get £35 in cashback, bringing the term cost down to just £193!! Remember to cancel itemised billing if you don't want it - o2 charge 99p per month for this service.

The Sony Ericsson K800i is one of the first handsets to feature in Sony Ericsson's Cyber-shot range. Almost identical in functionality to the K790i, the K800i adds 3G. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera with a new xenon flash and burst mode for capturing moving images in quick succession. Other features include an FM radio with RDS and Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo audio.

Thanks for the info,

Would anyone know what is the best deal/offer to buy the K800i on pay as you go for the 02 network or unlocked, as I want to buy one for my sister as a suprised present but don't want a contract etc?

Many Thanks

DO NOT buy a k800i from ebay

ith current prices of these phones being so high on ebay, i have allarmingly saw people selling (and people buying) these phones for like £300 - £400!!

my advice to you is DONT you are being ripped off, you can buy a brand new k800i for £201 delivered on 02 PAY AS YOU GO.

i have posted this on another site which i frequent, here is my post :

This deal only applys to NEW customers only, read on for details:

Right, well GREAT UNIVERSAL offer a 20% off your FIRST order (this is how the deal works out so cheap) on top of this they also do a cashback scheme. There cash back scheme is they give you £1 for every £10 you spend, and the cash back can be paid directly off your account.

They have this phone listed at £279 delivered, but after doing the maths for a FIRST TIME CUSTOMER. £279 - 20% = £223.20

THEN the cashback should be £22 (£1 for every £10 you spend) you will have the option of paying this cash back, off of your account.

SO; £223 - £22 = £201 they give free delivery when you order ONLINE so basically, £201 for this great phone BRAND NEW!!!!

They offer the phone in 20 weekly payments INTEREST FREE, or 40 weekly payments INTEREST FREE. Choose either that you wish as you wont be paying any more or less for the phone.

ALSO when your filling out your info etc, when it has the option to enter a gift code, enter '20' for the 20% off

ON TOP OF THAT Sony Ericsson are required (and do) under new European Union LAW to provide 2 years warrenty on this phone (i have read around on the web and this seems to be correct)
- simbob

SO basically, go to:

and then proceed with the instructions i outlined above ^^^

PLEASE save yourself the extra £100 and put it to some good use

Do not buy from o2. i recently took out contract on k800 on online 200. Unfortunately lost the phone but had insurance. Though it would be nice and easy to claim. Still waiting for my replacement 4 weeks later! i have wrote the biggest complaint to them about there poor service. a bit OT but thought i should advise some on o2. The k800 however is a smart phone. A little bigger than my old k750 but worth it

the link seems to be broken. any ideas?

I think it's fine gidon - firstly select the tariff ducky has mentioned above (online 50), then select the correct handset... and keep going.

Welcome to HUKD!!!

ah cheers! its all new to me of course!!

If you order the contract phone, don't forget to change the tab to 12 months, as it automatically defaults to 18 months.

If you buy this phone on contract it is unlocked, all the O2 PAYG K800i are locked and there is currently no unlock available other than through the service provider.

NOTE: O2 does NOT charge 99p for itemised billing if you purchase from their online shop. These are exclusive online tariffs, and you will get online billing only. Thus, there is no itemised billing to cancel.

Thumbs up from me.

Ordered it last night due to be delivered on Friday and quidco's tracking the cash already ! Should keep my daughter happy

Stormin Norm.

yes, another good deal from O2 shop.
I always check them out, as I don't need so many minutes etc, so the £19 a month would suit.
On a low usage, they always have a good deal when compared to other shops who often then charge quite a bit for the handset.
My friend bought from them, no problems, and no cashbacks to remember.
I've made do with a brand-new TheLink cashback refurbished phone this year.

Is the o2 site down at all because i go through quidco and put all my details in etc etc and create a username and get taken to a page saying, we are sorry but the shop cannot be accessed at the time blah blah blah.

I have been trying all day aswell, can anyone confirm whether it is down at all, was wanting to have this ordered early today for delivery tomorrow so i am not best pleased!

hi duck,

i know o2 contract phones are unlocked. do you know would this payg locked to o2?

many thanks.

Sorry for being dumb but i just cant get this work, i clicked on the link, selected online 50 for £19 monthly then there are 4 options with K800i
1)Sony Ericsson K800i + Online 200 (18 month) for £30 montly
2)Sony Ericsson K800i + Online 400 (18 month) for £45 monthly
3)Sony Ericsson K800i 1000 mins + 150 txts, or 750 mins + 750 txts for £30 monthly
4)Sony Ericsson K800i (3G) - Cybershot and this is the only option that allowed me to select the online 50 for £19 monthly but I ll e to pay £69.99 for the phone.
So is there some thing that I ve done wrong?

Yes i get the same £69 for the phone plus £19 a month over 12 months

Does anyone know of another great deal for this phone with a plan (no cashback to claim)? too bad I missed this one :-(
