Just came across this whilst browsing mobile fun's website, and thought it was rather a bargain, its £100 over on the Orange website. Seems to have really good reviews. Could be the perfect Christmas Gift for techy guys/ladies :o)

Enjoy the convenience of controlling your phone from your wristwatch. Created together with Fossil, a world expert in watch technology, this range of Sony Ericsson MBW-150 Bluetooth watches is truly ahead of its time, bringing together contemporary design and cutting edge Bluetooth technology.

You know you have a phone call because your watch is vibrating and the display shows a new SMS has arrived. You’re in touch but nobody has to notice. Your watch has become an alternative phone display, in mineral crystal glass and stainless steel. It will even ensure you won’t forget your phone when a new text or picture messages arrives, your watch lets you know. It even tells you if you move out of range of your phone.

Looks like a fun bit of kit for xmas, shame I've got mine sorted!

I'd be tempted by this... Unfortunately my iphone doesnt have bluetooth!!!

I wonder if this works with any blutooth phone?

Apparently there's an android app on the market place that works with any android handset.

As for me, the reason I don't wear a watch is because I have a smartphone.

5.15% cashback with TopCashBack too.

Would be nice if when receiving a SMS, Email etc that the watch showed the sender.

Anyone own one of these? Is it waterproof?

Apple's bluetooth implementation lacks many things, including rfcomm ... which this needs.

It works well on android phones though.

Bah Mike! You gave the game away, I was hoping fusion would come back on the iphone bluetooth.

Does anybody know if this works with a Blackberry device please?

I almost bought one of these when they came out (and might now) but arent they the heaviest watches in the world? thats what put me off last time...

pleasantly surprised with mobilefun.

ordered around 5pm on friday and was surprised to have it delivered saturday morning around 11am!!!!

currently working well with motorola atrix...although it was a bit of a fiddle to get it to connect!!!

and andyz4m.... you're right, it is a bit heavy, but i think i can cope with weight....for a while :-p

Bit of a novelty, but looks good and could be handy.

Was looking at these a month or so back to use with openwatch on android.
For those who don't know, openwatch lets you read the sender and subject of emails, SMS etc. on the watch without having to take the phone out of your pocket every time.
Downside appears to be reliability issues with the OLED display. Several disturbing reports of it slowly dimming to become unreadable within a year or so. talk.sonyericsson.com/mes…940

Edit: Seems SRC got there a couple of minutes ahead of me.

Looks pretty sweet, especially with the OpenWatch app. Very tempted ...

EDIT: Just read about the OLED screen issues ... at event £50 I don't think it's worth it if it's going to be "just a watch" in a years' time.

Was considering getting one - but these reports of the OLED screen failing after a year have put me off. Thanks for heads up guys!

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect this to the phone at the same time as a stereo bluetooth headset for listening music?
thanks...

Just for info, anyone with a jailbroken iPhone can still use this watch with this software Clicky Linky Fun
I've had a look and even though SSH seems a bit daunting to me I've managed to do it and I'm crap at codes etc.
I've very temptedas I'll be ditching the iPhone soon for an Android upgrade, but the OLED worries me. Still a hot deal that I'll keep my eye on....

I had an MN800 and it was pants... It just loses connection and refuses to get it back. Reboot phone and watch a couple of times and it works again for a bit... I don't know if they've sorted out their bluetooth code yet, mine went to the back of the gadget pile and hasn't resurfaced.
You might want to check the reviews very carefully!

Does anyone know if this watch works with the iPhone 4 at all?

I try my best to find as many excuses as possible NOT to answer my phone. This would be the last thing I'd want!

The MN800 is entirely different to these watches, despite being released more recently they've been dogged by the poor connectivity issue. That wasn't a problem with the MBW series watches but as stated they have reliability issues with the display instead.
Casio are marketing a bluetooth watch in the near future, though it uses bluetooth 4 for low power consumption.

cool just bought one

Bought one thanks!

Just bought one. Very good deal at this price. 5% cashback with Quidco too.
I know there are some reports of display issues but there must be some people who haven't had any issues. More people are likely to go online to complain about something than praise...

All Apple iPhones have BlueTooth.

Really cool deal but they don't work on iPhones (I have 4s)

HOT HOT HOT

Ive owned the MBW 100 with my iPhone (then realised it didnt work with it - sold!)

Then I got the 200 (metal bracelet version) and realised it didnt work 'period' - so returned.

Been after one of the MBW watches for AGES - so this *IS* a bargain - and end of the day , if it doesnt work with my Xperia Play - then an easy £70+ on eBay, so superb deal!

Thank You OP!

PS "Standard First Class Delivery" (i.e. Untracked/Uninsured) for £2.50

or "Special Delivery" (Tracked/Insured) for £6... Consider the 'bargain' factor on this watch - I happily paid the extra £3.50 to have it insured and here Wednesday - guaranteed.

Thanks ordered for the OH for Xmas :-)

Ah but at least you've got Bluetooth 4 built-in. Casio's upcoming GB-6900 claims a 2-year battery life (12 hours bluetooth a day) thanks to that. IMHO we'll see a lot more of these sort of things when Bluetooth 4 is standard in phones. This current generation of watches needs charging every few days which makes it a bit of a pain.

Had one of these for a over a year best gadget ever, links to android tells u who's calling and you can see your texts without getting your phone out. Its amazing!! the watch is by Fossil it is quality I paid over £200 for mine 18 mths ago.

seems good but reading reviews i don't think its worth i
is there anything out there similar which wont have problems

Ordered one as got android phone but looks like fossil or other watches that cost a lot more..like tissot sports range etc...so I just like the watch and also geek factor!
