You can see why they have plenty of Refurbs to sell, the number of returns seems to be never ending! :-(

Had this phone a couple of years back and got to say it was the worst phone I ever had.......in fact, when it broke beyond repair I was actually happy!

i had it,i didnt mind it.
however i missed the camera more than i thought and the keyboard style means you cant touch text easily

Be prepared for the Dextra Solutions experience if there's a problem with it :O

voting cold not worth it at this price.

i had this and really missed the camera

We have a couple of these in stock at our shop (Orange Shop, (Retail)) £80 is the shelf price, £70 if your a student, its worth asking the orange shops to check their cages as its an ex pay monthly that are trying to move on

you idiot's, what happened to the day's off classic mobile phone's without camera and all the other bulls*it...

Go buy your self a camera, this phone is a beauty and i have 2 of them and still use both from the day they were released.!

Yeah real old fashoned phone this, wasnt it the 1st touch screen ever plus it makes my n95 look like the worlds smallest phone :whistling:

Remember getting this phone as a free upgrade the first day it came out, put it straight on ebay and got £450 for it!

Paid for my £35 a month 12 month contract!

This is not a very good phone. The walkman bit was good, but mine fell apart after a couple of drops (very easily done) When I replaced it it was all in pieces & totally unuseable & like a pp said, I was glad to be rid of it!
I found the buttons a bit annoying on it too as they were small & raised up from the phone itself & not very distinct - the net result was that you often ended up getting the wrong number coming up when you were typing it in.
Yes, I did miss the camera on it too - not all of us want to carry a separate camera round all day - I have enough heavy junk in my handbag as it is - why carry 2 bulky items when you only need to carry 1 - plus you know its always there to capture pics of the kids.
Anyway I think its over-priced for a refurb.

only go for about £50 on ebay in good condition

I have used almost all versions of sony ericsson's smart phones. M600, W950i, P990i and now im using P1i which i am very happy with. Couldnt find any other mobile to replace it with. Although HTC DIAMOND looks promising, its quite expensive right now.

For those who says people having a mobile with camera are idiots, get a life. You cant cary your cam in your pocket in everyday life. I havemy SLR cam, digi cam and a video recorder but i still need a mobile with cam so i can use it anytime i dont have my cam with me...

Plus, yes W950i isnt that nice as it lacks the cam and the keypad isnt as easy to use as m600i or P1i. And its old tech. The price for a refurb w950 is not that cheap. Its just OK, no bargain here.

I would suggest adding a bit more to get P1i.

BTW, these mobiles are great to use sat nav with gps reciever. I used sat nav with all the mentioned models above and I LOVE IT. I guess its all about personal interest in mobiles. Some likes flip phones, some likes normal ones, some likes slide phones and ones like me fancies touch screen phones.
Try playing games or surfing the net on those phones and its brilliant.

N95 looks just like a dummy, plastic toy where those models looks much more serious and thinner than N95. But still, i dont think we should compare touch screen phones with models like N95! They are in totally different classes!

Why is this deal getting colder ...? Isn't the mobile worth the money?

Sony Ericsson cannot make phones you know, the only good phone they made was the W810i & K700

dont take my word for it reaD:

Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson announced today that it would cut 2000 … Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson announced today that it would cut 2000 jobs, as the company reports a second quarter operating loss of $3.17 million. The company has been pinched by plummeting demand for its high-end smart phones and inflation eating away at margins for inexpensive cell phones, and things don't seem to be looking up: "Challenging market conditions are expected to prevail this quarter," the company said in a statement. Net income for the company fell from $347.6 million a year ago to $9.48 million while sales slumped 9.4 percent to $4.4 billion. Unit sales in the quarter reached 24.4 million, down from 24.9 million units a year ago. The closely watched average selling price per unit was $183, whereas a year ago, it was $197.50

The P910 was pretty good. Sadly all the Symbian UIQ smartphones, including the W950, went downhill from there. Mainly because unlike Nokia, Sony never gave Symbian any decent hardware to allow it to be fast or stable. Effectively killing off UIQ3, and its 3rd party application development, in the process, whereas Symbian S60 goes from strength to strength..

I agree. This is not a good phone in general. More like a simple chinise toy - for me. There is so much other sony ericson phones in smiliar price better than this one.
