Amazing lens in every way
Good price
Bargain
Own it and love it, this is a cracking price for a fantastically sharp prime.

Starting to wonder if this is a pricing error and they're trying to charge 699 but want to display 599 as the after cashback price.

Probably not because it's not actually in stock, it's on for backorder

It's really not, it's full of CA and massively overpriced because of a lack of competition in the same focal range.

Great size and sharpness though.
Just got to pop on and say, whilst I’m not a Sony crop shooter, I’ve used Harrison camera in Sheffield on 2 occasions, both times I was pretty much changing camera systems, so substantial kit etc changing hands. They are excellent, I’ve had lot of gear off them, new and used... 1 item I had a problem with, and they were excellent... apologetic, resolved problem instantly. I think a retailer is truly tested when you have a problem. Harrison’s were spot on.

You must’ve had a bad copy which I’ve not known of before.

Agree. This lens is absolutely pin sharp. Puts up a close fight with the 135GM and 70-200GM

Cheapest it has ever been brand new so far as I can tell, though. And most used prices are higher. Usually when there's cashback offers the price sticks at £699. I think it could even be a price error and they're intending to show the "after caschback" price, and charge you £699.

Cheapest it has been at Amazon in the last year is £625.63. Cheapest ever at Amazon is £583.16 in December 2014. (I'm guessing cashback wasn't available at these times).

If you just want a cheap 50mm more comparable with Canon's nifty fifty then there's this for £159 castlecameras.co.uk/son…467

Another worth considering is the Sigma 50mm f1.4 art amazon.co.uk/dp/…N6/

How?! It's as sharp as the 50mm g master!

I think they're thinking of Canon nifty fifty which is an unfair comparison.
Received email stating they'll have stock end of week.
