This is a very good entry level HD camcorder. Was in the market for one. Could not not find it cheaper than this by a long shot. May be useful to others.

Its £25 cheaper from Amazon Marketplace (new) including postage, so £435 in total! - SENAP and IFOZI, both of which have high ratings. Link below -

Given the choice between 'Bestpricedbrands' and Amazon, for the sake of a quid, i'd still take Amazon

Sorry but with 4-5% non-positive ratings for an item of this sort I'd go with Amazon any time. Been burnt before with Amazon marketplace. Plus guarantee against drop in price.

Had this camcorder and it is top notch stuff.
The stills arent that good but everything else about it oozes class

I paid 513 with case and tripod so its a good price

When buying I am never concerned unless the positive ratings drop a lot below about 92% and then that depends on the items they are selling, some products will attract more negatives than others. So many sellers get negatives for stupid reasons like the buyer doesn't understand they are supposed to be reviewing the seller and not the item they purchased. Also a lot of negatives seem to revolve around the buyer having unrealistic expectations of delivery times when a birthday, etc, is concerned. As an aside I am an Amazon seller lucky enough to still have 100% but well aware that I could loose it tomorrow through no fault of my own.

Also Amazon no longer guarantee against price drops.

I just got the Sony Full HD TG3 and amazon sell that for 427. But price matched with PCWorld and got it for £416. Although its memory stick, I think it still a very good buy.

All right guys: everyone's got an opinion and that's what's good of the forum. I personally would not part from 500quid with someone with 95% feedback but others do and most likely it'll be fine. After much research I did not find any other major retailer selling it for about 460 so I thought I'd post. Next time most likely I won't bother!

Thanks for pointing out the price reduction guarantee is no longer honoured by Amazon. Didn't know about this! You can still send it back for 2 weeks under distance selling regulations though I guess.
